I am writing to formally complain about my recent experience at The Brick – Canmore location, which has been extremely disappointing and stressful.
I had an outstanding balance of $172 from three years ago. When I returned to purchase two beds and a mattress, I was informed that this balance would be applied to my purchase. I agreed and paid nearly $1,800, after which I was promised delivery on December 4. No delivery occurred.
When I followed up in person, I was told that the $172 balance had to be paid separately in order for delivery to proceed. Because I urgently needed the furniture, I paid the amount. I was then promised delivery on December 10, yet again no delivery took place.
After several follow-ups, I was repeatedly told delivery would occur “Monday or Tuesday,” with no action and no communication. On Tuesday, after speaking with another salesperson, I was shocked to learn that one of the beds was actually out of stock—information that had never been disclosed to me despite multiple assurances that delivery was imminent.
I then spoke with the store manager, who informed me that deliveries only occur on Thursdays, which directly contradicted what I had been told multiple times by staff.
As a direct result of these delays and misleading information, I was forced to purchase a temporary bed from Amazon for $300, as I had just moved into a new home and could not continue without basic furniture.
I previously spent over $2,000 at The Brick in 2021 and genuinely appreciated your product quality. I was planning to furnish my new four-bedroom home and a future rental property through your store. Unfortunately, due to this experience, I have completely lost trust in the Canmore location and will not be returning.
I hope this matter is taken seriously. No customer should be treated this way or provided with inconsistent and misleading information.

Can I cancel my order and get a refund?
Yes. You may cancel your order by visiting any Brick location. Purchases made online and in store are refundable at any time prior to product delivery or pick up. Refunds are made only to the same credit or debit card used to pay for the order. Cash payments will be refunded to a debit card or via cheque and mailed to the person who paid for the order. Deposits on Special Order items are non-refundable.
Can I get my deposit refunded in cash if I paid in cash?
Unfortunately, not every Brick store will have enough cash on hand or the exact dollar amount required to refund your deposit in cash. We're happy to refund cash payments to a debit card, or via a cheque made out to the individual listed on the invoice.

An extended warranty can be added during the purchase process in store or online. Or if you've already completed an online order and decided you want to add a warranty, you can visit a Brick store to purchase a warranty up to 30 days after receiving your product. You can add a warranty to a product during the first step of the online checkout process. When you check out, you'll be asked if you want to add a warranty to each eligible product. You can either select 'Protect All Products' at the top of the warranty section, or specify which level of coverage you want for each individual product. When you have selected the preferred warranty for your item(s), click the 'Continue' button in the lower right corner of the page to continue with the checkout process. Where does The Brick deliver?
Our Premium Delivery Service is available in most areas. For areas not served by The Brick's delivery team, we contract third-party courier and shipping companies. The Brick does not currently deliver or ship to anywhere in the United States, and online transactions from American customers cannot be accepted at this time.
