It took over 45 minutes to get help and the lady didn't have any knowledge of electrical items. They all said that they don't have the items when it was shown in their website. There was 4 on stock and they kept telling me it was discontinued. I really needed it. I almost left after walking and not much help. Finally after 45 minutes it was found in a locked case. While looking around i bought other stuff. I didn't have a great experience.

I purchased a water heater from this store in Sep 2024, and paid extra $553 for professional installation, expecting the job to be done properly and to code. Just one year later, I noticed heavy residue and corrosion forming at the water pipe connection to the heater. Concerned, I asked another licensed plumber for a second opinion. He informed me that the original installer failed to properly protect the metals from reacting with each other and should have used a protective pad to prevent corrosion. According to him, this issue will likely lead to a leak within the next couple of years. When I contacted the store, I was told their installation warranty is only one year — very convenient timing, given that the problem became noticeable just after that period. I also asked who performed the installation and was told it was “Quick Plumbing.” It took some effort to find them online, and when I did, I discovered they had 1-star reviews and are now out of business. It’s extremely disappointing that a store would subcontract installations to a company with such a poor reputation, especially for something as important as a water heater. I paid extra for installation specifically to avoid problems like this. I would strongly recommend asking detailed questions about who will actually perform the installation and researching alternative options before purchasing.

- ODokie dokieJan 23, 20261.0I have always loved coming here until today, I met the worst and the rudest representative here by the name Eyeda. They should fire her immediately with the way she treats customers. I bought a full lock and while buying I was told that I can return it if it did not work, I was unable to open packaging properly unlike how I do normally, I put in a plastic bag and took it hoping that I would be helped. She started sighing and saying “idk who told u you can return” blah blah blah. And said “I am doing it this time and next time don’t even bother coming”. I understand that everyone has their bad days but if you choose to take your frustration out on innocent customers then maybe customer service isn’t where you should be. Management needs to take action against such an employee, I will never come here because of Eyeda.

How do I know that truck/van is available for rental at RONA location?
If you see a truck or van parked at the store, that’s the first sign that it’s available for rent. To save yourself a trip, you can call the RONA store’s customer service desk ahead of time to confirm availability. Rentals are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
How do I qualify for the vehicle rental?
To rent a vehicle, you must:
> Be at least 21 years old
> Hold a valid full driver’s license (not a graduated license)
> Provide proof of insurance in your name
> Present a major credit card
NOTE: For the Province of Saskatchewan, the customer must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license.
Do RONA charge deposit for the truck/van rental?
A deposit of $500 for all rentals will be charged before we rent the van to a valid credit card. After inspection deposit will be refunded less the rental fee when customer return the van/truck.
How do I pay for the truck/van rental?
We accept all major credit cards.
Please note that cash, checks, gift cards, money orders, or prepaid visa cards are NOT accepted as payment for vehicle rentals. Store associates do not receive discounts on truck rentals and are charged the same rental fee as the customer.
Do RONA offer insurance for the vehicle rental?
At this time, RONA does not provide rental insurance. You’ll need to use your own liability insurance that covers non-owned vehicle rentals. Please make sure the proof of insurance is under the renter’s name.
What is your return policy for truck / van rental?
Returns are simple! When you bring back the vehicle, we’ll do a quick walkaround inspection and check the fuel gauge. As long as the vehicle is in the same condition and fuel level as when you rented it, you’re good to go.
