The Black Card membership is a joke — the “50% off” drinks only apply to water and Gatorade, while the one decent option (Muscle Milk) costs nearly six bucks. Red-light therapy is broken, there’s no scale anywhere, and the so-called amenities amount to a couple of massage chairs, two hydro beds, and some tanning booths. That’s it. To their credit, the staff are polite and the machines are fine. But people don’t pay a membership just to talk to friendly staff — they pay for quality facilities, and Planet Fitness consistently fails to deliver. This company has had years to improve, and it still feels like the same overpriced, underwhelming experience it was before.
