I'm very happy with SM Family Dental. My Insurance also shakes hands with them. Love I can sit in the chair for Xrays, check for cancer, etc. My cleaning went very well......done in no time. Feel my dental health has improved. Thank you!

I'm becoming somewhat uncomfortable regarding my recent services. My last two appointments were with different dentists and hygienists. Not sure why I'm not seeing my regular dentist. Also, the new dentist said I may have decay starting under a crown that was just installed "only" one year ago ! Seems a bit odd when I meticulously care for my teeth.

I sent all my insurance information ahead of time (many days before) my appointment. I even asked when I came in to the front desk if they had my new insurance and I was told yes, all is good to go. About 5-7 min later she comes up to me in the waiting room and says my new insurance has a one year waiting period so the appt would cost $133 or else I can’t be seen. I paid the money and continued with appt. No other issues. My point is that it would have been nice to have this all resolved ahead of my appt because all I had to do was make a call to the insurance (which I didn’t have the time to do at my appt since the hygienist came out to get me) once I talked to insurance they were able to waive the waiting period. So all of this could’ve been resolved ahead of time when I tried days prior to my appt. and I never would’ve had to pay the $133. Now I have to wait and try getting this $133 credit once the claim goes through. It’s just a big headache that could have been totally prevented.
