All of the staff were very friendly, welcoming, and professional. My daughter was very nervous, but they did a fantastic job of making her feel comfortable. Great Blue Dental is an hour away from where we live, but they are definitely worth the drive!

Amber, Dr. Wozniak, and team did a wonderful job making me feel comfortable being back in the dentist chair after a 5 year hiatus. They did great job asking about any concerns that I might have and explaining anything that wasn't clear. They were all very personable and truly enjoyable to be around. I definitely found my new dentist!

My old dentist retired so I have been looking for a new one. I had my first visit at Great Blue Dental today. Amber was my dental hygienist. She is very knowledgeable, gentle and was very concerned about my comfort. She did the most comprehensive initial exam I've ever had. Took x-rays very quickly and efficiently. She also took photos of the problem areas in my mouth. She went over everything with me in detail. She also answered my questions about the issues that are important to me. I felt very cared for. Dr. Wozniak was very friendly and looked over all the pre-exam notes and made recommendations. The office team is very friendly. Becca works the front desk and made me feel welcomed upon arrival and made everything go smoothly at checkout. So far, I am very happy. My husband also had his first visit. He feels very comfortable with all the information they gave him about the state of his dental health and plans to have them perform needed work. I am glad we went and will followup with results of any work we have performed by the doctor.
Frequently Asked Questions About Great Blue Dental
Do you take my insurance?
At Great Blue Dental, we collaborate with numerous insurance providers to optimize your benefit utilization within a given benefit year. We offer a complimentary benefits assessment during your visit to determine your coverage. Please note that certain plans, including state insurance through Badgercare/ForwardHealth, Medicaid, and Medicare, do not cover services with our dentists. We encourage you to contact us to schedule an appointment and obtain more information.
Why do you recommend sealants on adults?
At Great Blue Dental, we often recommend sealants for any tooth that could benefit from this preventative measure. Our goal is to protect vulnerable teeth from developing cavities and requiring fillings in the future. Each tooth is unique, so we collaborate with patients to identify which teeth would benefit most from sealants. It's important to understand that we approach tooth protection consistently, regardless of age. Our dentists aim to prevent decay in both primary (baby) and permanent (adult) teeth equally.
Why would my dental hygienist recommend fluoride to me?
Fluoride varnish application serves as a protective barrier that strengthens teeth between regular dental visits, similar to sealants. Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral with proven clinical efficacy in cavity prevention. Our dentists are available to address any additional questions you may have regarding fluoride treatments.
When should my child's first dental appointment be?
In accordance with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry guidelines, we recommend scheduling your child's first dental visit within six months of their first tooth's eruption, or no later than their first birthday. Following this initial visit, we advise maintaining a proper home care routine and scheduling dental examinations and cleanings with our dentists every six months. We invite you to contact us to establish a trusted family dental care relationship.
Are dental x-rays necessary for me to have a cleaning?
At Great Blue Dental, we maintain high standards of care in compliance with state regulations. X-rays are essential for accurate diagnosis of all patients. New patients may have recent images transferred from their previous dentist by sending them to office@greatbluedental.com prior to their initial visit. We will inform you if additional images are required. These images are crucial for proper treatment, diagnosis, and planning, enabling our dentists to provide optimal care.
Do you offer a cash, senior, or military discount?
We offer an in-office dental savings plan for patients without insurance coverage. We would be pleased to provide more detailed information about this plan during your upcoming visit. Please contact our office via phone or email at office@greatbluedental.com for further details. Our dentists look forward to addressing your dental care needs.
