I was referred to SSM St Mary's Madison by Dr Dinges in Monroe, after diagnosing uterine cancer in December. Every single person I encountered on a scary journey was super. From front desk ppl to Hope PA and Hailey RN, Dr Spencer, Dr Huffman, and Dr Lawless in Oncology and my hospital nurses and CNAs, each one was great and explained things well. I just had my 6 week check up yesterday, and have a good report from Dr Lawless. Cannot thank them all enough for their thoroughness and kindness.

My mom got transferred from the Beaver Dam hospital to Saint Mary’s due to an infection. Everyone here is very polite, even tho there was a communication barrier everyone did their best to get the point across. I was always kept up with what medication they were giving her and what was being done. I appreciate the Nursing staff and the doctors in room 5501 they are very professional in their work. And a special thanks to Zander 1st shift, Jackie 3rd shift they went above and beyond with care and attentiveness.
I want to give a shout out to All the CNAs
Doctors. Nurses..staff ECT.
This last 7 days at St. Marys oncology.
Icu..please know it was a very troubling time for John.. but it was made easier by the staff who took the time to realize how angry and scared this situation was for both of us. Shout out.., Randy..Andy..Jen...Kam...I'll be back with more..

I was very upset with the whole process. I had to strip down and have three nurses look in my butt to make sure I didn't have bed sores just because I was 63 years old. Then he made me empty my purse of everything that was any kind of medication because they didn't want me to accidentally take one in the middle of the night. Then they didn't have some of the pills I was taking so they said well. You can just take your own but I couldn't cuz they locked them all up. Then the nurse thinking I'm a feeble old lady because I'm 63 set a bed alarm on my bed without telling me. So when my back was hurting so bad and I had to readjust and stand up my bed alarm went off. Then the kid who took my blood at 4:00 in the morning. I don't know what he did wrong but my whole hand and all down my fingers had petechial hemorrhaging in them everywhere. Then the next day at 10:00 I went and had a pet scan and a stress test and by 5:00 that night still didn't have the results. When the doctor came in at 5:30 he said he was. Sorry we didn't have the results yet but the guy who reads the results was really slow and if they pushed him he got even slower. I'm sorry but that's unacceptable. I had the worst experience at Dean St. Mary's and I don't know that I'd ever want to go back.

I have a heart condition which resulted in several trips to St Mary’s Hospital from December through January. It was not a good time between worry and discomfort. There were some waits which was to be expected as not all visits were scheduled, but nursing staff and physicians were efficient, professional. They continuously checked in to be sure I was okay and if I needed anything. I was kept updated and all my concerns were addressed thoroughly. I couldn’t have asked for more. My condition will be with me for a while longer and I am reassured that St Mary’s will be there if I need them.
