I'll never go to another place. Wish I woulda came here a long time go
Fast. Fair prices and one hot red head lady who asks you medical questions. Good lord, was she a big pile of adorable. I left with a broken heart as I'm pretty sure she had a wedding ring on.

Oh my god... the owner (he said he was the owner, but it might have been a manager) is horrible, childish, and unable to deal with any issues that arise.
When I first went in after 4 days I believe it was of receiving my transition lenses, he kept trying to make any issue I had about the transition aspect instead of listening when I said I could not see at all. A different optometrist found that my first prescription was extremely off and worked with me to dial in my new lenses. It was a challenge due to my light sensitivity and he was extremely patient with me.
When my replacement lenses arrived I was asked to wear the new lenses that came in to replace the bad ones for a few weeks to see if my eyes would adjust. While in the office I ordered a second set of sunglasses.
After receiving my replacement transition lenses, they had been far better, though I still have issues when driving or when looking at text on a screen from 20 ft away, so I called and they told me to come back in. This issue was also with my sunglasses which had the same perscription. This is what prompted todays visit.
As instructed I came in for the service I was told I would receive over the phone. The owner acted as though he had complete holy justifiable contempt simply because I wanted an adjustment [I was also in a good mood when I walked in]. Proceeded to blame me for his inability to act properly, all while I am picking my jaw up from the floor. Told me that it is he who approves all adjustments and he would not approve mine. Go elsewhere.
Literally lost his temper and tried to take my purchased glasses away from me 'with a refund' leaving me completely blind (I didn't have my old glasses anymore) because he didn't want to address issues with my prescription. I continually told him I wasn't wanting a refund or anything and yet he kept pushing me and saying "If my glasses didn't work properly I would just return them...", I eventually told him to stop pushing me to return them and he reacted with "I am not your child, dont tell me how to talk in my store". I fell silent for a while out of shock at this as it was out of nowhere and totally unexpected. I was not reciprocating his agitation. This was my second visit to resolve an issue with the prescription.
Note the staff was great! Even though they got my prescription incorrect I thought they had been wonderful. It was just him. I actually would go back if I didn't deal with him. Sorry for any typos, as you can imagine I have issues seeing right now.
UPDATE: Manager / Owner called my cell late last night and this morning to repeate to me his statements he provided in store about going elsewhere. Why? For some reason I live in this person's head and am now being harrased for unknown reasons. Why call me repeatedly if you just wish to say go elsewhere?

My glasses broke at 5:30pm on a Friday and I my only back up pair had a very old prescription that was no longer adequate for near or far vision. I called the store on East Washington Ave in Madison WI and Zachary had lenses in stock that matched my current prescription. I was able to get replacement glasses for driving (without my usual progressive accomodations) in less than an hour. And Zachary was personable and conscientious too! They were lifesavers!

I had a fantastic experience at LensCrafters, and I especially want to recognize Dennis for his outstanding service. From the moment I walked in, he was welcoming, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about all the products they offer.
Dennis took the time to thoroughly explain my options, breaking down the differences between lenses, coatings, and frames in a way that was easy to understand. He was quick with answers to every question I had and made sure I felt confident in my decisions without ever feeling pressured.
It’s clear he truly knows his stuff and genuinely cares about helping customers find what works best for them. Thanks to Dennis, the whole process was smooth, efficient, and stress-free. I’ll definitely be returning to LensCrafters for my future eyewear needs!
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
