I asked Jorge in Tech if I could try on the large frame version, and he directed me to Optical since Tech “couldn’t open the box.” He told me to come back to Tech afterward to make the purchase. When I got to Optical, the gentleman with blonde hair immediately started asking for all of my personal information and what lenses I wanted. I was confused because I only wanted to try on the glasses to see if they fit. One of the Optical employees even said, with attitude, that “Tech just wants the sale.” I went to Guest Services and spoke with Ray, a team lead, but he wasn’t able to offer any solution. He just told me “it shouldn’t work that way” and shrugged. In the end, I left without buying anything because the two departments couldn’t communicate or work together. A simple request to try on a pair of glasses turned into a frustrating back-and-forth. Target lost a sale today because of poor coordination and customer service.
