However, my recent annual eye exam (the week of November 10th) was disappointing and concerning. The very next day, I developed a puffy eyelid in one eye and a stye in the other. I always take great care to wash my hands before touching my eyes, especially in a clinic environment—so the immediate development of an infection strongly suggests a serious sanitation issue. My concerns were reinforced by the environment: the waiting area was very crowded, and the diagnostic machines in that public space appeared noticeably less well-maintained compared to the equipment inside the doctor's exam room. I attempted to contact the office multiple times after my appointment to report the resulting eye issues and sanitation concerns, but the phone was never answered. So I attempted to report the issues online but that proved complicated and unsuccessful. Because of the avoidable eye discomfort I am now enduring, I regret returning to this Target Optical location and would not recommend it to others. I feel gross and uncomfortable with the entire experience.
