My glasses broke at 5:30pm on a Friday and I my only back up pair had a very old prescription that was no longer adequate for near or far vision. I called the store on East Washington Ave in Madison WI and Zachary had lenses in stock that matched my current prescription. I was able to get replacement glasses for driving (without my usual progressive accomodations) in less than an hour. And Zachary was personable and conscientious too! They were lifesavers!

I had a fantastic experience at LensCrafters, and I especially want to recognize Dennis for his outstanding service. From the moment I walked in, he was welcoming, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about all the products they offer.
Dennis took the time to thoroughly explain my options, breaking down the differences between lenses, coatings, and frames in a way that was easy to understand. He was quick with answers to every question I had and made sure I felt confident in my decisions without ever feeling pressured.
It’s clear he truly knows his stuff and genuinely cares about helping customers find what works best for them. Thanks to Dennis, the whole process was smooth, efficient, and stress-free. I’ll definitely be returning to LensCrafters for my future eyewear needs!

I went to two other glasses places before this, only because my doc referred me to one and my grandma goes to the other. I had the best experience by far the second I stepped in! They knew their inventory, helped with fit and envisioning the glasses on me, and customizations!

I had an awesome experience. I went here and had in mind what I want and left with a little bit more. From the time I walked in I was first greeted by Beth and then Helen sat me down and helped me pick out everything! She was so nice and patient as specially since I had my 2 year old whom was having a bit of a tantrum. It don’t bother her at all. She stayed patient even when I told a few phone calls. She went out her way to get my prescription sent over from my previous eye doctor. When they tell you this was an awesome experience from walk in to walk out. I work in customer service my self and when I tell you these two ladies certainly deserve a raise. As specially Helen! I cannot thank her enough for how nice and polite and patient she was. I could go on and on about her . I really hope both of these ladies get the raise they deserve!
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
