Came for mri w/contrast …. No contrast…. 9 hours to be told there is fluid build up but I need pain management when. I never complained of pain! Spine surgery 3/10 ….. leak. Headaches -blurry vision and tremendous pressure in spine…. No medications! I understand they are busy …. Lots of people leaving after a full day upset and undiagnosed! Horrible ER!

St Mary use to be one of the best hospitals. The ER at St Mary’s has turned into one of the worst. This year I have Accompanied 2 different loved ones where they both had the same outcome. They want to fix bear minimum and send you on your way. This is a hospital that tells you we don’t have the right equipment to do this you will have to see your primary doctor. You go to urgent care and they tell you we don’t have the equipment you will have to go to the ER. Is this the new way to make more money off of people. Seems like your just better off letting google help you fix your own health issues now days.

I am extremely concerned about the unsafe discharge process we experienced at St. Mary’s Hospital. My husband arrived with labored breathing, right-sided chest pain, and extreme exhaustion—symptoms similar to a prior serious hospitalization in 2021. A CT scan confirmed pneumonia. His blood pressure remained dangerously high throughout the visit, repeatedly over 200/100, and his EKG showed heart strain. Despite multiple attempts to control his blood pressure, it remained uncontrolled. In fact, his discharge paperwork explicitly listed “uncontrolled hypertension.” During discharge instructions, he developed new symptoms including a headache and became clammy. Even after reporting this, and confirming his blood pressure was still over 200/100, we were told he was “medically cleared” to go home. The reasoning given was that one earlier reading in the 170s/70s made it acceptable to monitor at home, and we were instructed to purchase a blood pressure monitor ourselves. I voiced concerns about him being discharged in this condition and received pushback rather than reassurance. Within 30 minutes of leaving, while picking up prescriptions, he began vomiting. We immediately went to Stoughton Hospital, where he was admitted for uncontrolled blood pressure. Within 24 hours, his blood pressure was stabilized and he was able to move without pain. This situation could have had a much worse outcome. Discharging a patient with active symptoms, confirmed pneumonia, heart strain, and severely uncontrolled blood pressure is not safe. I strongly urge St. Mary’s Hospital to review their discharge practices and prioritize patient safety over expediency so that no other family experiences this.

The wait time was minimum to get into a room. The staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Will, the PA, listened to my concerns and did his best to help me. Madison, RN, was delightful! I traveled 2 hours because I know St.Marys has excellent staff.

Probably the worst experience ever. Between them and meriter I couldn’t even get a proper exam they just had me sit for two hours charging me to sit there just to come in and say they don’t do that type of procedure in the er? So why didn’t you say that before I just sat here for two hours or even checked in when I asked specifically if yall do the procedure and yall said yes 😭😭😭
