  Never even made it to the appointment. They called to ask if we had insurance. I said no, we have flex spending account. She said "Oh, so you don't have any eye insurance". Once again I told her I had a flex spending account and could pay for both exam and glasses as I have for the past 10 years. Nope, girl on phone wasn't getting it. She heard Senior and talked to me like a Poodle, she heard no insurance and sent me letter pointing out how much exam would cost (2 times higher than other locals) and that I would need to be able to pay, so she heard rural and thought, poor and stupid and would not pay my debt. I wouldn't book appointment with them if they were only optician within 100 miles.

  My family has been utilizing their services for 4 years and we have been completely happy . We didn't have a long waitlist for an eye exam which was a pleasant surprise also . They also discovered an issue I was not aware of .

  Better ask if this dive will take your insurance. They will not tell you until after the service is preformed so they can stick you with the bill and you can't go elsewhere. This is not the first time this company has done this, it's a regular procedure to keep this information from you until it's too late. However, I did get a call from the owner and he did apologize for the mixup and did offer to refund the bill as it was not covered under insurance. We will see if they do what they say!
