She said "Oh, so you don't have any eye insurance". Once again I told her I had a flex spending account and could pay for both exam and glasses as I have for the past 10 years. Nope, girl on phone wasn't getting it. She heard Senior and talked to me like a Poodle, she heard no insurance and sent me letter pointing out how much exam would cost (2 times higher than other locals) and that I would need to be able to pay, so she heard rural and thought, poor and stupid and would not pay my debt. I wouldn't book appointment with them if they were only optician within 100 miles.
