I've been going to this pharm for several years without issue. picked up a perscription last week. when i got home noticed several pills were missing. called the pharmacy and they said no problem, whenever you can come back we will have the missing pills waiting. a couple days later i went to pick them up. when the pharmacist gave me the pills she showed me a photo of the orginal perscription and told me they were all there. long story short she said that there was no way i didn;t get the full perscription. to me that sounded like an accusation, that i was trying to get extra pills. i was extremely insulted and considuring changing pharmacy (i also have fresh pass), filed a compliant with safeway, we'll see what happens. ****Update**** Already sent a complaint from the Safeway contaact - have not heard anything yet. ****Update 2**** Still have not heard from Safeway, probably never will. More empty promisses.

I have stage IV cancer and the immunotherapy treatments cause me to have a cough. I have been filling a cough syrup prescription which has been discontinued at Safeway. Talking to a person in the pharmacy, I was told that people were abusing the cough syrup and therefore I needed to call my doctor and get something else. The woman basically implied I was a drug addict and argued that I didn't need this particular cough syrup. She told me not to try and get this medication anywhere around this area because there are too many drug addicts. I think the oncologist would know what is best for me. Safeway just lost a customer. By the way, the pharmacy at the cancer hospital will fill it and not imply that I'm a drug addict.

I got the old, we're closing for lunch now, and then they shut the window in my face. I see that's common. That's why you review suck.

Is there any way in Google to give this pharmacy a ZERO stars? If you want to have the worst experience ever go to this one. I can never get hold of them. I tried calling 3 times in a row one day, 4 another. I gave up and decided to drive over to get my stuff filled. My wife has also had horrible times with them with waiting for them to take an hour to fill a prescription. Sometimes waiting 50 minutes to get a fill. And be careful, some days they close and put a sign on their door saying Closed due to staffing shortages. Tried to transfer my prescriptions out of the pharmacy because I couldn't stand it before and the other pharmacy tried multiple times and faxed. I finally had to go in person. They I was told they couldn't transfer my prescription because of the controlled substance and it was on file. Never had that kind of problem before. It actually took my new pharmacist to call them and he had to explain them how to get it transferred. The Manager said no too. However, if they would have known what they were doing and explained to me from the beginning that because it was a new prescription and had to fill the first one there, then transfer, I wouldn't have been so frustrated.
