I visited the Southcenter store on a Saturday morning right when they opened, and I was the first customer there. Even so, I ended up waiting while the staff greeted other customers and answered phone calls, and I was told they would check their stock “right after this call.” After waiting about 30 minutes, I politely asked for an update. The associate seemed frustrated, went to look for my lenses, and returned to let me know they weren’t in stock. She handed my prescription back abruptly and didn’t mention the option to place an order for later pickup. The interaction left me feeling uncomfortable and unsure why the situation became tense. I ended up leaving without ordering new lenses. It might help to have additional staff available on weekends to make the process smoother for both employees and customers.

My salesperson was Richard for the Meta demo. He was incredibly knowledgeable and patient, and the whole demo went very smoothly.

Phil, at your Southcenter Mall location in Tukwila, WA, was super knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I not only left with exactly what I wanted in terms of frames and lenses, but I also have some extremely useful tips to help me adjust to my new progressive lenses.

I'm so glad we came to this location for my glasses. Phil, the manager who helped us, was the most knowledgable sales staffer I've ever interacted with. No one in the optical industry has ever taken the time or had the ability to explain the real life physics and algebra of glasses in an understandable way like Phil did. He took the time to bring down every aspect of glasses frames and lenses for my wife and I to the point where we could make decisions on the features that made most sense to our use cases. Go out of your way to go to this location - it will be well worth your time.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
