This store invented random, contradictory policies. Either they don’t know their own policies and didn’t bother to check, or had something against me as soon as I walked in. I tried to get glasses here with a prescription made outside of the US. They told me it’s no problem, but the prescription has to be in English. I got the doctor to send me a copy in English, and when I came back they said nope— they will only accept prescriptions made in the US regardless of language. The guy that originally told me any prescription in English works was literally standing right there. He specifically mentioned they did prescriptions from India, etc, as long as the info is in English. But then they tried to gaslight me with I must have “misunderstood”. Another LensCrafter store less than 3 miles away filled it no problem. I also called 2 other LensCrafter locations and they both said there’s absolutely no rule or law against it and they have filled plenty of international prescriptions. I really don’t know what kind of game this store was playing.

Fantastic! I walked in with my new Ray-Bans and my prescription expecting a long wait this time of year, but I was in and out in 20min and the store manager, who took my RX and entered it into their system, was very friendly and knowledgeable. I've never been to LensCrafters before but would highly recommend them after my experience!

Andrew is awesome! He genuinely understands customer needs, works with patients to grasp their problem and comfort level, and ultimately finds a solution that works both financially and meets their best optometry needs.

Would recommend, Went in for an eye exam, every step was explained clearly by staff and didn't take too long. I was going with the idea to get the prescription and buy my glasses online but Andrew T. helped me getting the exact frame & lens setup I was considering, for a similar price, got glasses fitted and ended up buying in store thanks to him.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
