Not once but twice prescriptions were not handled correctly. First was waiting there to be filled for over a week NO CALLS nothing! Then I have to call due to blinding migraines from not having my medication only to be informed “oh yeah we don’t have enough to fill it”. Plus, the attitude of the person who answered didn’t help. I am always open to something that might be a good reason for lack of follow thru but this was not the case. No one ordered it when it was sent there!!! I was waiting and no calls no text nothing! Then today I need my husband to pick up my medication and someone decides that because they don’t have a “good enough profile on me” that they don’t feel “comfortable enough” to give me what MY providing doctor, who has been my care provider and decision maker for my health for MANY years prescribed! A medication I have taken many times and they decided to tell me about “what their school said”…My doctor has been educated for many years and knows what I can tolerate and what side effects each medication may cause for me. I am well aware of my potential side effects of the medication and someone decided she knew better than my doctor. My prescriptions are now transferred out! I am sorry but when someone needs their medication a doctor doesn’t send over something on a whim! They have it prescribed for a reason! Pharmacist are to see if there are any drug interactions, insurance check and make sure the dose is correct. You don’t get to make calls for the doctor and withhold someone’s medication because YOU don’t know “the whole picture” as I was told because my pharmacy profile isn’t large enough for you to feel ok. This is exactly why I didn’t use Safeway in Seattle anymore. This is what happened in Seattle..Chewing gum while helping customers out and then also telling me they didn’t have any orders when it was sitting on their fax stack for DAYS. I asked them to check the fax which I could visually see and it was stacked with many papers that you could tell no one had checked in a very long time. I don’t usually have to write a poor review, but I worry for others that have heart medication needs or diabetic that are critical for care with no gap and someone might decided to play interference because they feel they know more than a prescribing doctor. I’m very disappointed

On multiple occasions they have told my husband and I that our prescriptions will be filled in 20mins - 30min only to come back later and find out they are completely out of stock of the medication(s)... The last time this happened was today, for a antibiotic, for an awful kidney infection! And what did they have to say? Call another pharmacy or MAYBE we'll get more in tomorrow. If I have to wait until tomorrow, I'll be in the hospital. Absolutely ridiculous and quite dangerous service. Needless to say we are livid, honestly if you're out of a medication, why are you giving customers time estimates for said medication to be filled. Thank goodness Walmart Pharmacy had my antibiotics in stock. Safeway, get your s**t together!
