Alloy has been a wonderful experience of strength training with personalized attention from professional and compassionate trainers with fun social interaction and community included. I have never liked lifting weights in my life, and at 62 years old I am enjoying weight training and getting amazing results for the first time. The workouts are perfectly designed to cover all the muscle groups while keeping it interesting and fun!

It is really hard for me to ever get motivated to move my body. However, I always look forward to going to Alloy. The workouts are fun and always different! There is a great sense of community. All the trainers know you personally so you don't feel like you are just a number. I have back issues and they are always mindful to give me accommodations if and when I need them. At the same time, they know when to push me and at times have more faith in what I can do than I have about myself. They offer ways to track yourself, so I finally feel like I am making progress. Big shout out to Matt!!! Thank you.

Former athlete feeling stuck and lacking accountability…found Alloy and it has changed my life for the better! I’m excited to wake up and see my gym friends in the morning. I’m feeling stronger physically and mentally. Investing in yourself is always worth it! Coach Eli is wonderful and helps push me but also knows when I maybe need to make a modification. 10/10 recommend 😊💪🏻

I had never heard of the concept of "functional strength training". I just knew that as female north of 50, I needed to get stronger, more mobile, and more energetic-again. I needed expert instruction on correct technique, accountability, and supportive environment. At this point in my life, the regular gym environment is a bit intimidating and doing my own fitness videos at home-well I just won't keep at it. After researching pilates and other modalities-I came across Alloy in Kirkland, "over 40 functional group personal strength training"...and it's close to my home. I started researching the concepts-strength training for everyday tasks, improved posture, multi muscle group exercises 2-3 x week. I scheduled a consult with Eli and got started. The In-Body Test is a scientific formula showing body composition of fat, muscle, water percentages which was completely confusing to me. But, it's a starting point, and repeated after about every month, to track progress. Adjustments are made after analyzing the report. So far, I'm about 2 months in. Not going to lie, it's not easy, but I've been "out of shape" for years! But I don't want "easy", I want to work hard and get stronger. The great thing, is the class size is limited to 6, and the trainers keep a close watch on all of us to correct and encourage. The goal-get stronger and not get injured! There are always modifications to each exercise-the trainers have our histories on an I-Pad at hand; past injuries, surgeries, current challenges, goals-nothing is cookie cutter, everything is individualized. Being the training is geared toward, but not limited to, "over 40" most of us have had some sort of injury, frozen shoulders, neck and back, knee pain etc! At the same time, they WILL challenge us to progress-no slacking. Another great thing is so far for me, none of the exercises have been repeated. Each one has been a little different. The next day, every muscle is sore-it is VERY EFFICIENT that way. Not very many of us can spend every day at the gym on different muscle groups. This hits them all -and cardio too. Scheduling a class on the app is easy. So far, I've been able to go at my preferred dates/times. The trainers-Matt, Erin and Eli are super friendly, supportive and knowledgable. So far, I'm really happy with Alloy and look forward to continuing my functional strength training.

Great place if you want to ease back into strength training without having to navigate an app or gym on your own. The workouts can be tailored to your fitness level, or scaled back if you have areas that need special care. I appreciate that the focus is always on form and doing things the right way vs. how heavy you can go. The trainers are really kind, and the community is great - I almost look forward to going in the mornings. Membership is pricey, but worth it if you need accountability and take advantage of the 1:1 coaching, goal-setting, and assessments.
