Terrible service, failed to fill my prescriptions on time three times in the last year. Wish I could give them zero stars.

My experience with the Safeway Pharmacy in Kingston WA has been extremely frustrating and concerning. I regularly end up running out of my prescriptions because it takes over a week to fill medications that are supposed to be on auto-refill. The entire purpose of auto-refill is so patients don’t run out, but that has happened to me multiple times here. They also do not answer the phone, which makes it nearly impossible to check on the status of prescriptions. Recently, I brought in a paper prescription and also asked about two other medications waiting to be filled. I was told it would take over an hour and to come back later. I drove home from Kingston to Hansville, and within 20–25 minutes of leaving the store I received a text saying everything was ready. I had literally just turned off my car when the message came through, so I had to drive all the way back to pick them up. Had I been told it would only be 20–25 minutes, I would have simply waited. Now I am completely out of a prescription I need to take 3–4 times a day, and because it wasn’t filled in a timely manner I’ll likely be dealing with issues all weekend. I’ve called the pharmacy three times today, left 2 messages, no one answers the phone, and I’m miserable. This isn’t just inconvenient — running out of prescribed medication because refills aren’t processed in time is a patient care issue. The lack of communication and consistently long refill times make this pharmacy extremely frustrating to use. I hope Safeway management looks into what’s happening at this location because patients should not be running out of needed medications due to refill delays. This is unacceptable!!!!!

Switched to Safeway after RiteAid shut down and my god is it the worst pharmacy experience possible. They are slow, unorganised, and generally inept. If you call in a prescription or have your doctor write one in, they will not have it ready when you go (sometimes even if you get a text that it is). They only start with the prescription once you get there and have to wait around for 20-40 minutes. If possible go anywhere else.
