Easy to talk to Dr, and able to understand what he was saying about my vision, LensCrafters agent was very informative and thorough with finding the right pair of glasses, and explaining options and prices

I went in to replace my son’s glasses after they broke, and the experience has been incredibly frustrating. When I first came in, I paid the $25 replacement fee through our insurance plan. The employee who helped me (a tall, thin young man) never mentioned that I needed to bring in the original glasses or lenses in order for the replacement to be processed. Weeks went by with no updates. When my son’s father called to check, we were told the frames were on back order—something no one had ever informed us about. Eventually, when the new frames arrived, we were then told we needed to pay another $25 to replace the lenses as well. Again, no one had explained this before. After paying a second time, we were later told they still couldn’t complete the replacement because they needed the original frames or lenses. On top of that, my son’s father was told by a manager that I had already been informed of this policy by a female employee—which is completely false. I never spoke to a female employee at all, only the original male associate. This whole situation has been handled poorly from start to finish: a complete lack of communication, misinformation, and being charged multiple times without clear explanation. It’s unacceptable, and I’m extremely disappointed in how unprofessional this experience has been.

The doctors and staff working today were unprofessional, dismissive, and showed absolutely no concern for patient care. I was told over the phone that they would check with the doctor about giving my husband a trial pair of contacts, since his order was delayed due to their mistake, and that they would call me back. That call never came. Because of this, my husband — who is only in town for a short time — took time out of his valuable schedule to go into the store, only to be denied and treated rudely. Instead of acknowledging their mistake or offering a solution, they sent him away without any help. The level of care here was nonexistent. They offered no compassion, no solutions, and made it clear they weren’t interested in helping because there was nothing in it for them. Cold and heartless is the only way to describe how we were treated. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. They don’t follow through, they don’t care about their customers, and they treat people poorly.

Horrible experience. I back ordered a pair of Meta frames months ago. I came in a month ago and they had no record and then told me my prescription had expired. Made no effort to refer me for a new script. I ordered a different set of metas on 8/27. I was told it would take one to to two weeks. I prepaid $798. I walked into the store 9/1. They couldn’t tell me where the order was. I tried to call three times since then. No one answered the the phone and said they had my number on a recording and would call back in 2 days. I finally returned to the mall store today. I was treated indifferently. No apologies for the delays. I was told the frames were “here” but the lab closed after 4 pm. I asked for a refund and got it. Again indifference and zero apologies or any effort to make it right. This place has zero customer engagement skills or care.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
