It’s really discouraging reading reviews from people 9+ months ago about the SAME issue, and nothing is being done about it because this person is STILL working there, and STILL treating people the same!!
Reading the reviews, I’m shocked that I’m not the only one that experienced this with MICHELLE the manager in pharmacy.
Do better Safeway. DO SOMETHING besides respond to these reviews with a “I’m sorry you had this experience”.
Michelle did not want to refill a medication that an ER doctor sent after my surgery, because a month ago I had couple of the same pills prescribed. I DO NOT NEED TO EXPLAIN TO A PHARMACIST WHY MY DOCTOR IS SENDING THIS MEDICATION. I had to call the hospital, thank God that doctor was working that day, had to talk with 5 different people to confirm that this shouldn’t be a problem. When the doctor wanted to speak to her; she smirked and handed me a card with her number on it without saying a word. I said in the phone to the doctor “I’m guessing she wants you to call her”
My doctor calls me and she starts talking about my medical history with this doctor, who by the way is just a random ER doctor. There’s couple people in line and you could hear EVERYTHING. I’m standing there to the side; already sweating from the pain kicking in after surgery, sweating from the embarrassment she’s causing, I just wanted to cry. My doctor ended up calling me back and said “um yeah that was weird, I don’t like her so I will go ahead and send your medication somewhere else. I didn’t think I need to explain something to a pharmacist” I broke down crying because that’s exactly how I felt. I don’t need to explain to you my medical issues & what I dealt with the last couple months being in and out of surgeries. Telling the doctor this is a red flag and that he needs to check some system ?? Which he didn’t. Because he knows what he’s doing.
Anyways, go somewhere else. After picking up my medication somewhere else; I will be going there and not here anymore because she is RUDE and so is one of the assistants.
The reason I decided to write something because a relative of mine just had the same experience here after her son broke his arm & SHE wouldn’t want to refill his ibuprofen!!!

They've always been helpful and timely with filling my prescriptions. Usually if there is a problem it isn't the pharmacy's fault, it's the insurance company. They're always nice when I pick up.

Called to ask about a prescription and staff was impatient and rude. If you like being treated poorly for trying to get your medications, then this place is for you

Why is reviewing my Medicare plan every year important?
Reviewing your Medicare plan every year is important because Medicare Advantage (Part C) and Medicare Prescription Drug Plans (Part D) can change annually. These changes may affect your coverage, out-of-pocket costs, and provider network. By reviewing your plan during the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period, you can ensure it still meets your healthcare needs and budget—and switch plans if necessary.
