These people are angels! They work tirelessly to fill my family’s (unfortunately many) prescriptions and they’re always so helpful and go above and beyond. They help customers who are stressed out by sickness or accidents, people being treated unfairly by their Insurance companies, they see it all. They have always been kind and helpful and understanding. They deserve the same grace that they show.

This used to be a great pharmacy but is now terrible. I am in the process of moving all of my family’s prescriptions to another pharmacy. The staff are always rotating, but the ones who have been there for a long time are rude and unhelpful too. Be sure to check your prescriptions before you walk away from the counter, because they will give you a partial script without saying a word. They did this on my 9year old son’s medication and i did not know until I got home. Then they said they would not give me the rest at any time, that i needed to have my doctor send a whole new script. But had to specifically COME back and ask (because they wont answer the phone, put you on hold for long periods , and flat out refuse to help). My doctor cant prescribe more, because they show it was filled on the 1st at Safeway. I had to call my insurance company for an override while the Safeway staff take no blame for their actions. My son is without meds for 2 days now and cannot even get anymore because of their incompetence. Appointment with his doctor today just for help with his meds due to Safeway . She sent 5 pills to a different local pharmacy and said “I hope they will fill it, because of what Safeway has done here.” Safeway told me when i tried to get the rest of his script that I would have to wait to talk to the pharmacist who was giving shots. At that time I had already decided Im going to switch pharmacies, so I said I need to go and dont have time for that. She says well you have to wait anyway because you need an override. I asked why I need an override on my normal monthly meds (not my sons) that are non-narcotic, and she snarkily told me that they have overrides all the time and I just don't notice because it is a fingerprint from the pharmacist. Then the pharmacist finally came and argued with me saying I had been given a full script on my sons med. I firmly told her that was incorrect and she goes back and forth about whether he got 13 pills or 16 pills, but I finally said do you even have it in stock? She says no. So I'm standing there wasting my time, and the time of the huge line of other customers that now came, to discuss the logistics of a med they cant even fill. They also have told me repeatedly that I have to call them every day to see if the med is now in stock, they will not call me. Guess what? I cannot even get them filled through other pharmacies because they incorrectly documented the amount of pills I was given to all the other pharmacies, DEA, and my insurance. Sounds like insurance fraud to me. Obviously this was on a controlled substance but they have done the same with other common non controlled substance meds for all of my family. I cannot believe the incompetence, rudeness, lack of compassion, lack of responsibility, and poor attitudes of this pharmacy. I tried to call to talk to a pharmacy manager, guess where that went. No where. If you have a controlled substance seriously drive further and dont take it here. It is not okay to give partial controlled substance meds because the doctor can only send them once a month. These terrible staff have completely ruined all of our prescriptions and their refills with these partial scripts. How hard is it to tell the customer that? How hard is it to say that you have to ask your doc for a whole nee script when a partial is filled. My doc says this is all the Safeway's doing and not the rules of drug prescribing as Safeway tries to lead you to believe. Oh and they think they are doctors because even when your doctor sends a script in, they still will make you wait to fill it. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.
