We have used this pharmacy since moving to Burlington 16 years ago. We find them friendly, attentive and they are familiar with our needs. They are also, one of few pharmacies with evening hours which makes it more available.

It's a grocery store but inexpensive one. The service is nice as well as the pharmacy. It's nice and bright. I wasn't impressed with the produce. They have nice Plants and Things for sale outside

Besides the fact that the people working here seem to always be in a bad mood or annoyed that they have customers, this pharmacy has also pulled some really lame customer service shenanigans as well. I was leaving town for a work conference and had called the pharmacy to ensure my very important prescription was ready for pick up. They said it was. When I arrived, I was then told that they didn’t have enough of one of the prescriptions and wouldn’t be getting more for several days so they couldn’t compete my order and there was no further attempt to. I (on the verge of tears) told them I needed this medicine asap, I called ahead and was told it was ready and they took zero responsibility for that. They told me I could call around to all the Skagit county pharmacies to look for one that had this medication, as they were too busy to help me. So that’s how I spent the day prior to my work conference, hunting down a medicine I had never taken before and had no idea what dosage I was even after. Suffice it to say, Safeway pharmacy filled the prescription the next day, a mere 2 hours before I had to depart. No thanks to haggen.

If I could give this staff a zero stars, I would. After requesting that they transfer my medication over to them from Walgreens, they said “they were working on it” several different times I called, then told me they had sent the request multiple times with no response from Walgreens and that I would have to call and see what the issue was. This process took over a week. When I called Walgreens, they informed me that no transfer requests were sent by Haggen and that they should have called them directly to have it figured out, but no one called. I went into the Haggen pharmacy and verified my name, birthday and medication that I needed because it was going to expire. The Asian male employee I talked to several times told me that he had “dropped the ball like in a game of tennis” and that I would have to contact Walgreens again, which I did. But after trying for over a week to get my meds, the prescription had expired and I could no longer get the refill. I was very upset and called the Asian male at Haggen that I had previously spoken with and he then informed me that the issue “was above his pay grade.” They are completely incompetent, rude and take no responsibility for their mistakes. Don’t waste your time at this pharmacy!

The service at Haggen Pharmacy in Burlington, WA is outstanding. I am especially impressed with the staff that administer the vaccines. They are knowledgeable, professional and caring. I recently scheduled a non-standard vaccine for upcoming travel. Celeste, a registered pharmacist at the location, called me in advance to make sure that I was making a fully informed decision. I really appreciated the carefulness of her approach to her job. When receiving the vaccination, everything was right on schedule, and I hardly noticed that she was giving it to me. I highly recommend this pharmacy location for anyone looking for a new option.
