  Please don't use Piper Family Dental due to Blatant discrimination. This review isn't a reflection of Piper Family Dentistry's quality of work, but rather issues that we encountered when trying to schedule an appointment. After initially attempting to schedule an appointment in June of 2025, we were told to wait until October when they would be scheduling new patients again. We were told the same thing in October to wait until November. Finally, in November, we were told that Piper was only accepting family and friends as new patients and told to go elsewhere. This practice is in direct violation of Delta Dental's non-discrimination policy as well as Washington Administrative Code 246-817-370. So while Piper Family Dentistry may be a wonderful provider in general, please do not support a practice that willing and illegally discriminates against new patients.

  “Best dentist ever—came in nervous, left giggling like I’d just watched a comedy special thanks to the laughing gas. Teeth are clean, cavities gone, and I think I proposed marriage to the hygienist on the way out. Would drool here again!”

  I really recommend Piper Dentistry, especially if you’re autistic or have sensory issues. I’ve had dentists in the past who made their recommendations feel like criticism—like I wasn’t doing enough or didn’t care. And most never considered how sensory overload actually affects the ability to get through an appointment. This place is completely different. They checked in with me throughout the visit—before using any tools, they asked about vibration and sound sensitivity, and actually listened when I explained what does and doesn’t work for me. They explained everything they were doing without sounding condescending or acting like they had to dumb it down. Just normal, respectful communication. Even things like flossing were approached with zero judgment. They offered practical alternatives and acknowledged that some routines are harder to maintain depending on executive function, physical access, or sensory tolerance. I didn’t have to mask or over-explain myself just to be treated like a person. If you’ve avoided going to the dentist because past experiences were shaming, overwhelming, or just not neurodivergent-friendly, Piper is the first place I’ve been where I didn’t leave feeling worse. They treat your comfort and agency as part of the care, not an inconvenience.

  Dr. Piper's practice is a breath of fresh air. For years I had a phobia of going to the dentist, but knew I needed to go. I tried out Dr. Piper's office and have been totally impressed. They are gentle and informative on any work that needs to be done. Going back to the dentist is no biggie, knowing that this great team is working on my teeth.
