I want to personally thank you for the exceptional care you provided to my husband. Your expertise, calm presence, and unwavering dedication made a real difference at a time when it truly mattered. What sets you apart isn’t just your skill, but the sense of confidence and reassurance you bring into every situation — that kind of presence is rare, and it doesn’t go unnoticed. You went above and beyond, and I have a great deal of respect for the way you carry yourself and your profession. Truly grateful.

This is a review for Dr. Guo. For a few weeks, my jaw kept locking for 1-5 minutes if I opened my jaw too much after some dental cleaning and I wanted to get advice on how I can unlock it more easily. I arrived early and was asked to pay for a CT scan up front before being seen. I expressed my concern about whether a CT scan is really necessary because of the high amount of radiation. But she said their machine outputs very minimal amount. I had my doubts about that, but I needed my jaw fixed so I just conceded. I paid in advance which they required! I didn't get called back until 45 minutes after my appointment. When I asked what's taking so long, she immediately went to check and within 30 seconds, the physician assisant calls me back! She obviously forgot about me. No apologies, not even acknowledging I was kept late. She just tried to move past that as if it didn't occur. I got the CT scan and waited in the doctor's office answering questions from the PA. I noticed the scans she took appears to have missed the jaw joint, but what do I know... I'm just a patient. When the doctor came in, I told him my jaw locks too easily and needed to know how to unlock it more easily. It was currently not locked. He had me do some tests against my jaw. In doing so, my jaw locked again! I told him it's locked now. He then reviews my images and noticed it missed the jaw joint. So he orders ANOTHER CT scan. In my mind, I shake my head at how the PA could miss that since treating jaw joint is their specialty!! Plus I didn't want that initial radiation exposure and here I can getting TWO CT scans. I get the scan and go back to the doctor. I mentioned again my jaw is now locked and apparently he didn't hear what I said earlier. He then explains that to unlock my jaw, I would need jaw manipulation. This requires that I be put under general anestesia while he maneuvers my jaw back in place. He'll also inject some blood into my jaw to help with the healing process. Afterwards, I would need to be on soft foods for 2-3 months. The whole cost would be around $3-4k! I don't get why I need this. I explained that my jaw unlocks after 1-5 minutes and just needed some advice. Why would I need all this risky procedure? The whole time I'm speaking with the doctor, I notice that the language barrier is making it difficult for him to pick up small details about my situation. Plus he's probably over 60 nearing retirement and he just doesn't appear to be listening very well and has a one track mind for a treatmeant. We scheduled a tentative appoint for a jaw manipulation but in my mind, there's no way I'm trusting my health under general anestsia to his hands when I can just fiddle with my jaw myself for a few minutes and get it unlocked. In addition, my wife had taken my son to him for wisdom tooth extraction about a couple of years earlier. My son had a lot of bleeding afterwards from it and it was because the doctor had not stitched up the opening resulting from it. It still healed on its own, but it was more bleeding than necessary. It seems that the doctor did minimal work to get the job done and didn't bother with stitches. It's been a few months since my appointment and my jaw is 99% back to normal. I avoided a grueling and costly jaw manipulation which would've easily made things worse and completely unncessary. I eat normal food and avoided any soft food requirement. And, one final note. I see why the CT scan was required. It was because they have their own CT scan machine! And I had to pay up front because that would guarantee payment instead of them trying to justify the procedure to the insurance company! The only good part about the office was the front desk person. She was kind and professional. Otherwise, this would be a one star. Do not go here. In short, he's a lot more interested in maximizing profits while at the same time, he doesn't listen very well to your issue. I honestly think his age has a lot to do with it. He needs to retire.
