- JPJB Plus3Sep 20, 20181.0Deceptive and unprofessional. I drove a great distance to get glasses at this location, as they were one of the few places that had frames that would work for my daughter. Prior to purchasing, I confirmed that glasses purchased at this location could be serviced at any Pearle Vision location, as they were for a child and need regular adjustment and I was hoping to do so in my own town. I was assured that, yes, indeed, all Pearle Vision stores acted as one unit in that regard. When I went to collect the glasses, there was only a young woman in the store -- no professionals -- and she said she could not handle the glasses outside of their case. There was no one there to adjust the glasses to my daughter's face, nor ascertain that they fit correctly. She told me to come back some other time or go to a different Pearle Vision to have the initial fitting. When I arrived at a different Pearle Vision, they informed me that this particular 20th St. Bellevue store is, in fact, not part of the franchise, but rather independently owned, and therefore my purchase technically should not be serviced by the franchise stores. They also informed me that Pearle Vision policy dictates that a licensed individual dispense the glasses and perform all initial adjustments before leaving the store. Thankfully, the new store took pity on me and adjusted my glasses anyway. But I'm quite annoyed at the dishonesty and lack of professionalism demonstrated by the 20th St. Pearle Vision.
