I was very disappointed with my experience at A Children’s Dentist in BG. During our initial visit, we were told our son had three cavities. I asked whether we should move forward with treatment or if it was something that could wait since they are baby teeth. When I asked for the dentists opinion on taking care of them, he responded in a very defensive manner, “It’s up to you, mom — you’re the boss.” I was only looking for professional advice.
Unfortunately, we agreed to proceed with treatment. On the day of the procedure, my husband brought our son to the appointment. When they returned home, I was shocked to see that our son had received five crowns and three white caps, far more work than what we were originally told. My husband said he never consented to any additional work, and that he was only informed of the extra work after our son was brought back to him when the appointment was finished.
When I later called the office to ask about this, I was told, “We like to take care of any extra work once the child is already under anesthesia.” And how that’s a normal practice. I felt and still feel very taken advantage of.
I also want to mention that the overwhelming number of five-star reviews can be misleading. The office has posters throughout encouraging patients to leave five-star reviews, with incentives such as AirPods, gift cards, and other prizes
