It is the same experience for me, I have to plan my day around picking up my prescriptions. Because my wife works for retail clerks, this the only pharmacy I can use. The big issue now is the time it takes to get the medication. My wife is leaving the er as we speak and they have prescribed 2 medication, and it will probably be 2-3 days before it's ready, if we are lucky. I was recently prescribed a medication and I waited 1 week, and no you can't anyone to answer the phones. I had to once again stand in line for 20 minutes just to ask about it, it was not ready. Came back a week later same routine, they said It was out of stock! Waited about another week, waited in line 20 minutes just to be told that won't be getting it in! I went to Costco and paid there discount without insurance, had in 2 days and no line. And they have 4 windows open, a pleasant experience. Please have at least 1 more staff, and when a prescription is called in by our doctor, we didn't want to 3-6 days to get it filled. I have no problem with the staff it is those running the show, you are doing a terrible job, it is a disservice to our community.

My usual pharmacy was out of what I needed before leaving on a trip. Their shipment was delayed and wouldn’t arrive on time so they called and checked to see if Safeway had it and could fill the order for me. They did, so they faxed over the relevant information and I went happily over to pick it up. After telling me it wouldn’t be ready for 45 minutes, I came back in, waited another 15 minutes in line, only to have them tell me I had no refills left. This was a miscommunication on their part. If they had checked with my pharmacy they would have known that. However, by the time I had waited an hour for them to tell me this, my pharmacy was closed and they could no longer call. Today I called my pharmacy again. My pharmacy called them again. Spoke with someone, explained I needed it today and would be there at around 2 pm. I called Safeway pharmacy when I left home. They had not started on it yet and were about to leave for lunch and won’t have my order done for another hour. Too late for me to pick up and still make my flight. I will never deal with them again. Not ever.

Line is always hellacious, slow and I am almost always angry after speaking to the pharmacy tech's. Never left happy or satisfied, it's not the expected service from Safeway employee's.It's almost like it's a whole different store inside Safeway because they are not by any means up to par with the employee's working in the grocery department.

If your time doesn't matter to you then this pharmacy is the place to go. 20 minute line waits, just to be told it will be ready in 30 mins. Then to return 30 mins later to wait in line for another 20 mins. To be told it will be ready the next day. Even when you use their app to schedule a pick up time prior. I almost had to cancel my colonoscopy because I was told three different times and days my prep wasn't ready. I lost my patience after 4 different pick up tries, I told them I can't wait any longer because I start my prep tomorrow. The pharmacist treated me rudely and slammed the prep on the counter and gave me no instructions. Told me I had to by over the counter gasx and elax, all the while it was prescribed by my Dr. Do better Safeway!
