I had a bad experience going through the Shaw's site to schedule COVID vax appointments for my kids. When I registered, it told me "the provided Date of Birth meets the eligibility requirements of the vaccines listed below" - and the vaccines listed below included COVID - ages 3 and Up, which is what I checked (kids are 7 and 9). I was trying to keep things low drama for my kids because they are really afraid of needles. So I worry all day about these appointments, finally tell them where we're going, they get really anxious and are crying, we get there, and at the register we are told "we only have vaccines for 12 and up." I could have saved my kids some worry, instead I freaked them out for nothing. I also had to schedule my day and their school pickups around this and get all the way to Shaw's and back. and we are no closer to getting vaccinated. I know we can go to their ped, and we will, but I preferred a pharmacy so that they don't always make the association that going to the dr is for shots. It's ridiculous that the website lets you make appointments for kids under 12 if they don't have the supplies - their birth dates are part of the registration, it has me note multiple times that I am an adult making appointments for my kids, it sends us confirmation emails and texts. And we get there and are turned away. The person helping me didn't know if other Shaw's pharmacies had them for 3 and up as was advertised. Please fix the website so that it is accurate and we don't waste our time trying to do the right thing for our kids.

This pharmacy is beyond disgraceful. The phone is never answered—no voicemail, nothing. And if you need an answer about a medication (which can’t be solved with the useless app or the automated phone menu), your only option is to drag yourself there in person. Once you do, you’re stuck in a line that snakes around the corner with dozens of people waiting well over an hour. Why? Because they only ever have ONE pharmacist on duty. Half the time that pharmacist is nowhere to be found, and when they are, they’re just sitting there staring at their phone while everyone else suffers. Every pharmacist I’ve dealt with has been rude, dismissive, and acts like you don’t even exist. I even called the Shaw’s manager to complain, and his exact response was, “eh, what are you gonna do.” AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.

One cannot reach a pharmacist. The recorder on the phone is "...no longer accepting messages..." A great help if you're in trouble. Moved to Kinneys.
