  Dr. Fame ROCKS! He's a great doctor and storyteller. He helped me heal, laugh and stay positive through the stress of my diagnosis of Alpha-Gal and my reactions to environmental and food-borne allergies. After visiting several other doctors, HE was the one that figured out I had eczema and prescribed the cream that helped me heal. Thanks, Dr. Fame! So happy I found you. -Amelia

  The staff is courteous and responsive. Dr. Fame is absolutely the best doctor. He is attentive, smart, knowledgeable, and proactive. He came highly recommended to me, and I know why!

  Dr. Fame is easy to communicate with and instantly put my anxious teen at ease prior to allergy testing. He spoke directly with my teen about the outcome and next steps in her journey to feeling better. We appreciate that he included her in the conversation.

  If I could give 0 stars, I would. My 2-year-old son has been dealing with a severe, persistent rash since October. As his mother, I am desperately seeking answers and will not stop until I have them. Unfortunately, our experience with Dr. Thomas Fame at Allergy Partners in Salem, VA was awful. His bedside manner was completely unacceptable. When I asked a reasonable question about whether parasites had been ruled out through testing, he yelled at me, saying, “Aren’t you listening?!” Yes, I was listening, but I was also managing two children in the room, one of whom had just been pricked 18 times, and we still had no answers. Asking for clarification should never be met with hostility. We requested blood testing and were flatly refused. After the visit, I immediately contacted our pediatrician to continue pursuing answers elsewhere. Now I understand why we were able to get an appointment so quickly. We called on Thursday and were seen by Monday. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise other parents to look elsewhere, especially if your child has complex or ongoing issues. Dr. Fame is dismissive and rude. He didn’t listen to us, instead spoke over us repeatedly. We will never return to this office, and I will not stop advocating until I get real answers for my child.
