- JWJon WhiteApr 4, 20263.0I wish someone had emphasized that I would never be able to read again after the cataract surgery before I made that decision. I regret having cataract surgery dry. Reading is infinitely more important to me than distant vision. I can no longer read for extended periods or read the small print on a prescription bottle without reading glasses and a magnifying glasses. That saddens me.
