While my overall experience with NSM has been great, this review is specifically for JJ Waldrop. There are few times in life when you experience truly exceptional service, and JJ has delivered that consistently.
My daughter has a progressive, rare disease with complex needs requiring extensive adaptive equipment. JJ has been there to support every aspect of her care. He takes the time to genuinely understand his patients and their specific needs. His deep knowledge allows him to provide invaluable guidance, not just fitting equipment, but helping us understand what will work best for our unique situation.
He's been there for every fitting, assessment, modification, and tune-up, ensuring my daughter has what she needs and that everything functions properly. His professionalism, expertise, and genuine care have made an enormous difference in my daughter's quality of life. We are incredibly fortunate to have his support.
It has recently been impossible to get a hold of them for repairs. I’ve been leaving messages with different departments for weeks about a repair that my insurance needed more information about. They have not returned any of my messages or calls.
All I need them to do is to fill out a piece of paperwork. But my insurance is likely going to deny the repair because National Seating and Mobility isn’t doing their part with paperwork.

Have dealt with the National Seating & Mobility for years always with great service. This year has been a total Disappointment. Been forever trying to get a new mattress. Cannot get anyone to Answer messages via phone or text. I am being generous with two stars

Very lax on communication . Reached out to manager was told repair tech would be contacting me still no call 1 week later . Reached out to national seating and mobility a second time still no response . I and yes I emailed for a response from this feed back to contact me .

Because we work in a partnership with your health care team, we require a referral from them in order to be your mobility provider. To help ensure your choice of NSM, you should request that your physician and/or therapist select us as your provider of choice.
How long does it take to get a new power wheelchair from NSM?

Why must I see a doctor to get a wheelchair from NSM?
Our clients have mobility challenges and are referred to us by therapists and physicians to receive mobility solutions that meets all their unique needs. If you need a wheelchair, your best plan is to talk with your physician or therapist and get a thorough evaluation from a qualified Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS).
What if my medical condition changes?
Contact your local NSM branch and notify us of any changes that may affect the proper fit and function of your chair.
Are there any dangers in using an off-the-shelf wheelchair?
Definitely. A standard or not customized chair can cause more harm than good. People come in all shapes and sizes; their chairs must be designed to fit them. In severe situations, a standard or not customized chair may:
- Cause significant physiological and psychological problems
- Lead to an increase in dependence because it’s not used due to lack of comfort
- Cause pressure sores, or decubitus, due to improper cushioning
- Become obsolete quickly if not configured to “grow with the child”
- Become a major expense to replace or reconfigure, because most funding sources will only reimburse for a new chair every five years.
Do I have a choice of which mobility solutions company to use?
