I have been going to this pharmacy for over a year now. Lines are always short. Staff is courteous. The pharmacist, Anne, has been extra helpful when medication is not in stock. I highly recommend this pharmacy.

I am very pleased with the professional and courteous service provided by Safeway Pharmacy at South Lakes in Reston. I know there are several pharmacists there, but I have dealt primarily with Elly, Mary and more recently Hope. I experienced a significant medical event three and a half years ago which led to a raft of medications, the prescriptions for which changed almost month-to-month during the first year or so of recovery. Elly was instrumental in accommodating these changes. When I transitioned from private insurance to Medicare, she was instrumental in providing me the information I needed to insure that different medications were properly billed to the appropriate Medicare plans. I find this pharmacy superior to several others with which I dealt, and have moved all of my pharmacy business here as a result.

I tried to come get a walk-in flu shot. I was told no we don’t do those. I said the sign says you do. The pharmacist said well then you have to wait an hour. So I left and made an appointment for the next day online. I came 10 minutes before my appointment and the pharmacist said I didn’t have one, I showed her the email confirmation. She reluctantly says okay. She then makes me fill out all the paper work again. She then takes patients before me. They are extremely rude. It’s unfortunate since people are trying to do the right thing and get vaccines. I would recommend going elsewhere

Why is reviewing my Medicare plan every year important?
Reviewing your Medicare plan every year is important because Medicare Advantage (Part C) and Medicare Prescription Drug Plans (Part D) can change annually. These changes may affect your coverage, out-of-pocket costs, and provider network. By reviewing your plan during the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period, you can ensure it still meets your healthcare needs and budget—and switch plans if necessary.
