  I went here seeking help with some issues I was having. First issue was the assistant that took me back. Seemed like she didn’t want to be there. I have insurance so she proceeded to do some x rays. Pretty standard you would think….she proceeds to do them and I’m like I think something is missing. Oh well I guess. So she finishes the X-rays and I’m basicaly told to come back the next day. Weird I thought but again I needed help. I show up the next day and they want like 300 bucks. I pay it no questions asked even tho I have insurance. This day they were all training with the new 3 d scanner that most dentist worth their weight already have. So I get brought back again and she starts taking more x rays.??? Once again I’m like something’s missing. The lady training them with the scanner comes in and puts the lead vest on me! Yep! I got a bunch of X-rays with no protection at this place. Anyway a while later the dentist comes in and says to me I need two root canals and crowns for the teeth that were bothering me. Ok so you called me back two days in a row and 300 out of pocket to tell me that? I go up front and they are telling me it will cost like 5 grand. Once again ok let’s put the insurance in and I’ll get the rest in cash in a month or so. This is where I had enough. For the next month and so on they kept calling me telling me I owed them 25 dollars! Once I got the cash they said they never filed the insurance. That was it and I was done with these scammers. Ultimately I went to aspen dental and had two fillings done on those two teeth. No root canal. No crown. All covered by my insurance. Never paid them a penny. This place is dirty, unfriendly and will absolutely never get that 25 bucks they keep calling about! Avoid at all costs.

  I was so pleased and thrilled. The staff is absolutely wonderful. The service was super great and I am one of those that am always been skeptical of Going to the dentist I 100% recommend this dental office

  We scheduled an appointment for our 9 year old after noticing an issue with 2 of her back teeth. After the consultation we were informed they do not treat children and we would need to go to a different office and repeat the same process and pay a second consultation fee. I am giving them two stars because, the team was wonderful but they knew they could not treat our daughter, but were happy to see her and collect the full fee. It would have been better if they told us upfront that they did not treat children and referred us to a different office

  I had a dental emergency and I was able to get an appointment ASAP. Everyone from the front desk, to the assistant and Dr Serra were professional but personable at the same time, giving me not only superior care but doing so in an environment that is patient friendly and caring. Having been the administrator for over 35 years of a medical group, I understand the importance of quality care and service so patients get the best care across the spectrum they expect! You’ll find that here at Morrison Dental in Portsmouth,VA! We are happy to have found a new and wonderful dental practice near us!!

  1/21/26 This morning I was seen by Trez'shee. She did my teeth cleaning. She was very professional and courteous. She left no stones unturned. She let me know everything that she was doing and was clear with information. Dee was professional and understanding. He completed a deeper cleaning of the gums, he was very informative. He also helped me with a future plan on how to keep my teeth and gums healthy. Dr Sorey was thorough and with good bedside manner. They work well together.
