My experience with Drs. Gregory and Sylvia Lohr and associates, particularly with Dr. Sylvia, was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, Veronica, the receptionist, made me feel incredibly welcome and at ease. Dr. Sylvia stood out by being remarkably proactive and inclusive in my eye care process, ensuring I was informed and comfortable every step of the way. She thoroughly explained the procedures and any potential risks for my age, providing a rare level of patient-centered care. I have never felt as supported and cared for in a medical setting as I did here.

Do not go there!!!
I experienced horrible service and nickle-and-dime scam fee for the retina photos that is useless and sneaky eye exam malpractice, which cost $40.
Total bill was $200 for the eye exam that all useless.
Sylvia Lohr did negligent eye exam on me and wrong prescription. Instead of improving my eyes' vision, it worsens eyesight badly.
I will consider filing a medication mistake lawsuit for the damages she made on me.

I have been seeing Dr. Lohr and Dr. Lohr (husband and wife) for what will be coming up on 15 years. It’s actually sad I haven’t written this review before now. However I feel like now more than ever we all need that appreciation. I was 15 and trying to pretend like I didn’t need glasses. The Mrs Dr Lohr sat with me and we shared the same birthday. We talked and talked and I instantly felt like I was talking to a cool mom. She knew how to make glasses sound like this awesome thing. A couple years later I sat with Mr Dr Lohr and I remember him talking about me being ready for contacts and he was right.
I’ve grown up with them and I travel from whatever state I’m living in to see them and them only. Here is where they differ from other practices. Their receptionists are treated with respect and as equals because they take the time to make sure they feel appreciated they then in turn make you feel appreciated. I realize a mall eye doctor doesn’t fit everyone’s standard. The difference is they break the standard. When I call and I’m over due or I’m under due for an exam but my flight/visit is for these days they never hesitate to accommodate. I’ve actually only ever dealt with 3 receptionists and I wouldn’t trade them for the world. I’ve never felt so welcomed and just “seen”. Things have gotten very chaotic in the medical field but if I can say anything it’s that to feel like you aren’t just a number than they are the only practice I would go to.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses.
