I visited this Patrick Herny Lenscrafters twice on different days and was not properly greeted either time. On both occasions, I had to ask for assistance. One of the employees seemed bothered and came across as rude. They were not helpful and walked away while I was still trying to get assistance with finding the correct frames. While I was still browsing and had not yet received any assistance, two other customers walked in. The other employee immediately greeted them warmly, saying, “Welcome in, I’ll be right with you!” Meanwhile, I was left feeling completely invisible, despite still waiting for help. The experience made me feel very unwelcome and undervalued as a customer. Unfortunately, this was consistent with a previous comment I left below. Because of these repeated negative experiences, I cannot justify giving this location any of my business.

I came into the LC store in Newport News to find a new pair of glasses. Ashleigh helped me find two pairs I really liked, fitted me for the glasses, & helped me run a few cost comparisons. I then left and came back the next day with my new prescription and Ashleigh not only remembered me, but also remembered the exact two frames that I liked and found them for me right away so I could show my husband. She was friendly, efficient, answered all my questions, and had us in and out in no time!

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
