    I've been doing Pure Barre since 2013 and across four states this has been my absolute favorite studio! There's such a wonderful community with the other members and instructors and I love how they're always improving the classes and adding class formats! Can't imagine going anywhere else!

    I have been taking classes at the Midlothian studio for over two years and am challenged in new ways in every class I take. The instructors motivate, educate and support you. I have learned so much about which movements target which muscle groups, how to correctly position my body in stretches I have been doing mostly wrong since I was in high school, and how to properly breathe while exercising and why it is such a game changer. Also I feel stronger than I have ever felt. I have no problem waking up while it is still dark, even if my kids have interrupted my sleep at some point throughout the night, knowing I am going to get an awesome workout, led by excellently trained women, surrounded by other amazing women. Pure Barre Midlothian, you rock. Thank you!

    After leaving a different gym due to a back injury/surgery, a friend of mine recommended trying barre once I recovered. I was used to high intensity interval training, so I wasn’t sure this workout style would keep me interested, but I also knew I needed to ensure I didn’t injure myself again. I was also nervous this gym would be filled with tiny women with zero body fat, but I signed up for a free class to check it out, despite my fears. A year later, I’m approaching my 100th class and I can confidently say I have found my gym family. <3 The classes are challenging without feeling impossible, and they change enough to keep me interested, but still always seem familiar. I’m in the best shape of my life and I feel strong, flexible and in control of my body. There are 5 class styles: yoga inspired one, weight lifting, classic barre, a HIIT style class and they are now starting a reform style like Pilates. You will never be bored and you can control what your weeks look like based on what classes you take. I focus a lot on the weight training class and pepper in the yoga one to give my body a break to focus on stretching, flexibility and balance. My favorite thing is the diversity. It’s easy to assume a gym like this will be filled with a certain type of woman in a certain tax bracket. But that’s far from the reality. As a woman of color, I was delighted to see women of all ethnicities, ages, backgrounds and shapes in the studio. Both the instructors and my classmates feel like a reflection of the real world and it makes it so much easier to peel myself out of bed and get my workouts in. If you’ve been thinking about joining a gym, especially if you are 25+ and know you need controlled strength training as you age, this is the right fit for you.

    Absolutely one of the most comprehensive workout classes available. I am completely hooked for strength, endurance and flexibility. After decades of high intensity classes, I love the challenge and the pace of barre. Everyone is welcoming and supportive—I’m a fan!

    I highly recommend Pure Barre Midlothian to anyone that wants a total body workout while improving overall strength and flexibility. The teachers are extremely motivating to make sure you challenge yourself in every class. I have tried many other workout methods and there is NO comparison!
