We had a great experience here with my 2 year old. Dr. Sullivan was very knowledgeable, professional, and straight forward. He gave us answers and peace of mind. Definitely recommend.

Dr. Sullivan dismissed severe multi-system episodes that respond dramatically to antihistamines as "anxiety." He did not seem to consider it immunologically relevant that my "anxiety" responded extremely well to Zyrtec. He literally looked at my list of symptoms and said "I won't be able to give you an answer" with no apparent dedication to helping me or even giving follow-up recommendations. When I asked about possible MCAS, he told me that MCAS would have anaphylaxis and rashes, which is incorrect per current diagnostic criteria. He may be fine to help with simple allergies but please do not see him for anything complex or requiring up-to-date information. His bedside mannar was also poor. He made an unprovoked and insulting assumption about my financial status to confirm his "anxiety" diagnosis. I have been extremely ill for months to the point of not being able to care for my home and family, and my appointment with Dr. Sullivan was a slap in the face. I will not be returning and I will move my daughter, who sees Dr. Lane, to another clinic as well. I am writing this review in hopes that someone else will not have the same experience that I did.

I called yesterday (10/22/25) to make an appointment because I need more allergy testing and guidance due to being told by my doctor not to eat meat due to alpha-gal syndrome. I’m not eating meat and am having reactions that are worse (anaphylaxis) in intensity but less frequent. I explained that I was looking for more testing as far as allergy testing as has been recommended to me…was put on hold to have another women have me explain things again and was told that my PCP should be taking care of this. My PCP is not an allergist and yes I was a patient there before, though it’s been a long time since I needed to be seen. When I explained that direction from my doctor only was to not eat meat (pork & beef —- but chicken, poultry and fish okay). I was then told to go to UVA allergy, maybe they could help me. I am disgusted because I thought I was reaching out to somewhere that I trusted, who actually did allergy testing….and I’m fearful as my reactions are getting worse. I do not recommend this practice.
