Had an unfortunate accident, I was referred to a different healthcare system, but I couldn’t be seen for a couple of weeks leaving me with no medical attention or guidance on how to proceed. I checked my in network provider directory and found Dr. Glessner, I was able to be seen a day later and was offered options for dealing with my issue. Everything was explained well, I was able to make an informed decision. The surgical experience was great, and post op care has been great so far and justifies the distance travelled for care. I highly recommend USFAC/Lake ridge Foot and Ankle Center.

I've been going to Lake Ridge Foot & Ankle for many years. My doctor was Dr. Scripps, and now is Dr. Uptegraph. Both doctors have performed surgeries on my feet. I've had great experiences with both. From the front office to the assistants all has been great. I always say, Foot & Ankle is a tiny hidden gem with great services.

I had been suffering with foot pain for a number pf years, trying arch supports, then ortholic shoes. My mobility decreased with every passing month. I finally said enough! Time to see a podiatrist. I had trepidation, invisioning being told I would to have surgery to correct my problems. Dr. Derner was recommended to me by another doctor. His staff is friendly and efficient and I was treated with kindness and respect. After x-rays were taken, Dr. Derner, thoroughly explained what was causing my pain and how we can manage it without surgery. Now just one day later, I already feel better! If yoy are looking for a doctor to be honest and caring, this is definetly the place to go!

Dr. Russell was very knowledgeable and instructional; explaining the details and the why while he worked. However, a single competent practitioner cannot compensate for a practice that is fundamentally broken at the administrative level. Having navigated various professional environments for over twenty years, I have rarely encountered such a stark contrast between clinical ability and operational chaos.
The initial frustration began with a staggering wait time of one hour and 42 minutes past my scheduled appointment. During this delay, the physical deficiencies of the office became glaringly obvious. The walls offer remarkably little sound insulation; I was forced to listen to staff members discuss their personal grievances and, quite inappropriately, the specific medical conditions of other patients. Even more concerning was the clarity with which I could hear the doctor’s consultations in adjacent rooms. This suggests that my own private medical history was likely audible to others in the vicinity, which is a significant breach of professional conduct.
The administrative experience was even more disheartening. I discovered multiple billing errors for services that were never performed. While my initial call to the billing office seemed promising, as the individual identified the mistakes and stated the matter was being elevated for correction, the resolution never arrived. After two weeks of silence, I followed instructions to contact the front desk directly.
The ensuing interaction was truly appalling. The staff member was boorish and dismissive, characterizing the incorrect charges as "close enough" and pressuring me to pay for services not rendered. Her decision to scoff and laugh when I expressed my dissatisfaction revealed a profound lack of professional decorum. A medical practice rests upon a foundation of trust and precision. When an office treats patient privacy as an afterthought and financial accuracy as a mere suggestion, it has failed its primary mission.
