So I was referred to ENT after partial loss of hearing in my ear. A doctor identified that the tube going from the inner ear drum to the throat was clogged. Flash forward to visiting the this office, Dr Burke specifically.
Dude didn't really take the time to listen to me(ironic given the practice), rushes to his conclusions and that's all. Tells me, your just deaf in that ear, have a good one.
Funny thing is, well the tube finally drained. Imagine my surprise when I wake up to wondering why the fan seems so much louder. Imagine my surprise when suddenly I could actually hear properly out of that ear!
They were also supposed to follow up with an MRI...but never did.
Thing was, there were so many easy to spot signs. It took other doctors half a second to look in my ear and be like oh...this is actually your problem. Qtips couldn't even properly fit into that ear, now they can! He went digging in both ears and you cant tell that one of them is swollen?
Your audio tech even had issues putting the test equipment in for the hearing test...still nope.
I would avoid at least having that Doctor.

Definitely recommend Dr Lim if your children have ear issues and need tubes. He did an amazing job with my kids.

Today’s experience truly shocked me. For the past three months, I’ve been experiencing severe pain that worsened when eating, especially with sour or saliva-stimulating foods, clearly pointing toward a salivary gland/parotid issue. I scheduled a same-day appointment and arrived on time but wasn’t checked in until 15 minutes after my appointment time.
The medical assistant was kind and professional. However, when the doctor came in, the interaction lasted less than two minutes (not an exaggeration). Two brief tests were performed that were not even relevant to the area where I was having pain. I was on a recorded call with my spouse since he couldn’t attend, and after listening back, it was clear I was dismissed. I was told, “It’s jaw pain you must clinch your teeth at night (I don’t and I have braces/bottom row nightguard that prevent that even if I did) you need to schedule PT,” and was immediately brought to the scheduling desk. I was handed a card and told to call if I didn’t hear anything within a week. (That was odd, why is it my job to call you?) That was the extent of the visit.
Trusting my instincts, I sought care elsewhere the same day. I was properly examined with ultrasound and diagnosed with swollen and obstructed salivary ducts (stones). Had I accepted the initial dismissal, this could have progressed to a serious infection.
I have never felt so ignored and brushed aside in a medical setting. I’ve been advised to contact my insurance regarding billing for this visit, as no meaningful evaluation was provided.
Please advocate for your health. If something feels wrong, seek proper care and do not hesitate to get a second opinion.

Took our 2.5 year old to Dr. Brager for a 6 month check up on ear tubes and he had zero bedside manner with children. One ear had some wax that he attempted to remove it and I attempted to hold the child still (she wasn't having it) and while I tried to soothe and get her ready, he said - its fine looks good and made me feel like it was my fault for not holding the child still enough the first time. He may be a great surgeon, but waiting 10 seconds to soothe a toddler before giving up seemed very unreasonable.
