I had one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had in a long time at LensCrafters in Gainesville with Rada and Christine. Rada and Christine truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was right. Not just for me, but for my son too.
They were patient, attentive, and genuinely cared about us being happy with our choices. From helping me find the right glasses and sunglasses to making sure my son felt comfortable and confident in his pair, they didn’t rush a single part of the process.
You can tell when people are just doing their job vs when they actually care. Rada and Christine truly care. And they are kind, genuine and honest. They made what could’ve been a routine visit feel easy, personal, and actually fun. They don’t pressure you, they don’t try to upsell you or rush you, but they are fast, attentive but give you space. Honestly, they made me a lifelong Gainesville LensCrafters customer, and that’s saying a lot because I have quite a few much closer locations and as a mom with 3 kids time is not something I have a lot of, so if I’m traveling far, it’s saying a lot.
If you’re going to LensCrafters, ask for them. Their level of service is rare. Not to mention- I’ve been a lifelong glasses and contacts wearer, and I’ve never had a pair of glasses give me such clear vision (ask for the digital mapping + Crizal Sapphire lens coating- holy cow didn’t know I could see this clearly with an astigmatism, I’ve always been told contact lenses would give me the best vision but this work Rada did digital mapping my vision for the Crizal lenses is incredible. Plus this is the comfiest pair of glasses I’ve ever owned, they are so lightweight that I don’t get that pain behind my ears after all day wear- incredible (Giorgio Armani AR 7125).
And the best part is they are experts in the Stellest Lenses, which is hard to find. But so worth it for kids who are nearsighted, as it stops the progression of nearsightedness by 80% which is insane. FDA approved, research backed, and they not only make glasses with these lenses they know everything you need to know. Rada noticed that the glasses my son picked out, he kept wearing them lower on the bridge of his nose. She mentioned Stellest lenses need to be centered perfectly to work and stop the progression, so that if he prefers to wear his glasses lower on the bridge of his nose, we should go with the slightly bigger frame (same glasses) this will allow him to be comfortable wearing the glasses how he likes, but also will allow his eyes to be centered so he gets the benefits of the Stellest lens. That right there, she noticed the smallest thing, that would have made the Stellest lenses not work for him, she just saved me money and my kids vision, she isn’t an ophthalmologist but she has the knowledge that you need to pick the right lens and frames. Absolutely incredible.

Yesterday, I went to LensCrafters in Gainesville, VA, and had an awesome experience because of their great service. Right from the start, I was greeted warmly and made to feel comfortable. Rosa, one of the staff, checked in regularly to see if I needed anything, she was really attentive and gave helpful advice. Every interaction was friendly and professional, and I really appreciated how quickly she took care of my requests. I left feeling super impressed and would definitely come back for the same top-notch service.
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
