  I cannot recommend Dr. Josephsen highly enough for cataract surgery. What truly sets this practice apart is the level of professionalism, genuine care and responsiveness. Whenever I had any concern with post-surgery recovery, Dr. Josephsen responded promptly and offered substantial reassurance, particularly for the eye with bad truama for years. Knowing that my concerns were taken seriously provided immense peace of mind during the recovery process. Beyond the doctor’s impressive surgical skills and professionalism, the entire office staff is top-tier: Surgery scheduler Eeshan was an incredible resource. He established constant email communications with me, patiently answered my questions, and acted as a seamless bridge between me and the medical team, so all me concerns can be addressed immediately and reliably. Likewise, surgery coordinator Carmen and surgeon’s assistant Leidy, along with many others, such as nursing staff and front-desk team, were consistently friendly, welcoming, and professional. It is rare to find a practice that combines high-level surgical excellence with such a supportive and helpful environment.

  The Eye Specialists and Surgeons of Northern Virginia have a very professional and knowledgeable staff and topnotch surgeon, Doctor John Josephson...I would very highly recommend him. The pre-op meeting was very informative and they provided me with ALL the tool necessary to prepare for the surgery and keep track of all aspects on post-op care.   Highly recommend. I recently had laser assisted cataract surgery on both eyes with Dr. Josephson. Everything went smoothly, I opted for the multifocal lenses and had 20/20 vision within 24 hours of each surgery. I can't speak highly enough about Dr. Josephson and his staff, everyone was fantastic. Special shoutout to Angel in the preop/postop area, he was extremely kind and attentive. Definitely a calming presence for any pre-surgery anxiousness.

  Dr. Josephson is very professional, experienced, knowledgeable, and the results are amazing! He has excellent bedside manner. He is patient and understanding, very positive, and excited and eager to help people see clearly. His staff is also extra kind, happy, and helpful. I had ICL on both eyes and I would highly recommend!!

  I got ICL surgery by Dr. Josephson recently and it has been a life changing experience! I can see the world so much clearer and farther than I did with my glasses. I was so nervous about doing anything with my eyes but on surgery day the staff was all so nice and everyone put me at ease. They even have massage chairs and blankets for comfort before and after the procedure. The surgery itself was way easier than I ever imagined, Dr. Josephson is very skilled and I’m really happy I had the ICL procedure with him.
