  Doday, Friday December 6, ( 8pm, I was charged $12.00 for an item marked down to $2.00… so I went to. customer service. Customer service clearly bluffing, said that the item was indeed the scanned but we was willing to charged the marked price… insisting it is marked but first digit is faded…. Clearly upset with me because I told him it was arranged in the marked down area and the obvious reason was because the cookies were broken…and that more customers are going to be charged without noticing the error”, he began to force insist that I proceed to leave or let him deal with the refund. I told him if he was not going to take care of the issue, I needed an apology and change in his tone, showing more empathy and concern…he said that he was not going to give an apology since he could see nothing to apologize for. I told him he was the face of the store ( Customer Service)…. And his attitude and that it was a public place and that I was going to video him and the way he was treating me… he said that he didn’t care…” BUT as I started to video, and and asked him if he truly was not going to apologize, his tone changed but not rephrased his statement, by saying “ he refused to apologize ; not with my current attitude… different from his original statement… there was nothing to apologize for..Meanwhile, my family was still waiting inside… needing to go to the bathroom.. NOTE, just having to always check receipts because you can not trust them and having to take even “20 seconds “ to go to customer service requires an apology. Customer service and everyone else is the face of Giant….” Giant”, the quality food people must also improve their “customer engagement and retention”…. Or else we going somewhere else.

  Store is clean and staff is friendly. Good varieties of grocery items available at good price. It’s unique to see the label of price comparison between branded item and store brand. The self check out process wasn’t smooth as it keeps giving you error for no obvious reasons. It was happening to few counters. Plenty of parking available.

  Last week I was shopping for items for my father and picking up his prescription at the shopping center. While standing outside my car my hip accidentally bumped my driver side door and my car was locked with the keys and my cell phone on the front seat. I was livid! I walked into giant to the customer service desk and there were angels working that day! I asked the front desk staff, Carolyn if I could please use their phone to call AAA. Of course I did not know the number off the top of my head and She was gracious enough to find the phone number and I called. I made many trips out to my car in a state of panic looking for a AAA vehicle while going back into giant because AAA usually calls the number that you leave them. AAA wound up calling the customer service desk at the Giant Food and Carolyn was standing right there to answer and let the gentleman know I was headed right back out to my car. They were able to remain calm and keep me calm as flustered as I was. I am so grateful for Carolyn, and her daughter Virginia who also works at this giant food. Shopping here is not just an every day thing. The staff that work there are like family and really treat their customers right. A shout out to Carolyn and the customer service desk representative at this local Giant Food. They are wonderful!!!!
