I had a very frustrating experience with this clinic. When I called to schedule my appointment, the very first thing I asked was whether my insurance was accepted and covered the visit. I was clearly told that it was, so based on that information I scheduled the appointment without any concerns.
When I arrived, everything seemed fine at first. The doctor who saw me was actually very kind and professional. He recommended that I take an allergy test, which I initially agreed to. However, before the test was done, a woman — who I assume was from the billing or finance department — came in and told me that I would have to pay $600 for the allergy test and $250 for the consultation.
When I asked why, she told me my insurance did not cover it. That made absolutely no sense because not only do I believe my insurance does cover it, but more importantly, when I called to make the appointment I was specifically told that my insurance was accepted and that the visit would be covered.
Because of that, I refused the allergy test. Now they are still trying to charge me around $200 just for the consultation. If I had been told from the beginning that my insurance would not cover this visit, I would have scheduled my appointment somewhere else.
This situation feels extremely misleading and unprofessional. Patients rely on the information given by the office when scheduling appointments. Being told one thing over the phone and then being presented with hundreds of dollars in unexpected charges once you're already there is unacceptable
Dr. Kim is absolutely phenomenal! Today was my first visit, he took the time to listen to my chronic allergy issues, which other doctors had overlooked. He was thorough in his testing, explained everything in easy-to-understand terms, I finally will feel in control of my allergies. The staff is equally wonderful, professional, and efficient. I highly recommend this practice!

Dr. Kim is the best allergist! I should know because I had a long journey in discovery of my condition. You see, I have chronic, unknown urticaria and angioedema. I had spent years of going from doctor to doctor to find out what was the cause of my condition: to this day the cause is i still unknown. But Dr. Kim was the only doctor who took a true interest in what was happening to me. He did numerous test, I was on several medications and one was an anti-rejection medication. However, I could not stay on that medication forever. He did research and found a NIH study that was testing an existing medication that might help my current condition. I was able to enroll into the study and even though I did not know if I was receiving the medication, my hives started to disappear. After the study, that medication was approved by the FDA for use of my condition. So I went back to Dr. Kim and was approved to receive the medication. To this day, I still see Dr. Kim and I am very thankful for his skills, his willingness to care, and his commitment to helping and understanding the misery of my condition. I cannot thank him enough for not giving up. He is the best!
I sought out Dr. Kim because he had great reviews and seemed to be an expert on auto-immune conditions, not just allergies, based on MediFind. I did not expect the experience I ended up having.
Within the first sentence of me speaking to him, he mocked me for doing my own research ("Oh, Dr. Google") and cut me off after the first food I mentioned. He started going down his own list of foods, which I realized were for skin prick tests to order. I struggled to get in my symptoms after that. It did not feel like he was interested in hearing anything aside from what skin prick tests to order until I was pushed to tears.
I do not want a doctor with this level of rapport and communication. I do not want to fight to be able to speak and feel heard. I have had lovely doctors in my life, and they all had one thing in common. They had a conversation with me. They didn't make me feel unheard and dismissed, they didn't wait for me to start crying to start listening.
The receiptionist was lovely.
