Had the best experience today with Kris. She was so friendly and patient! She asked about my dog who I was filling medication for and genuinely seemed to care. Made my day!

The most frustrating experience every single time I go to get a medication. I have had four completely different insurance companies that I have tried to use here, all very popular and common insurance companies, and all of my insurances that I have tried to use here, they tell me that they don’t accept it. This last time which was today, they said 1000% they take Blue Cross Blue Shield. I just left and no shocker, they don’t take it like they told me they did. Beyond frustrated is an understatement. Just finished the request to transfer over to a different pharmacy to use for now on. Been using them for years, so I absolutely do not recommend.

I have used Harris Teeter pharmacy since they opened. I have only had exceptional service. Love auto refills. Staff and pharmacists have always been friendly and professional. I do not think many professions have to deal with people in the manner that they do. People can be angry about the cost of medication — not their fault. People can be angry about authorizations — not their fault.

Not impressed. I switched pharmacies and so far most of my prescriptions have been delayed. I got a text on 8/26 that one was too early to be filled and would be ready by 8/30. Today is 8/30 and I got an RX delayed text that it wasn’t in stock and had to be ordered. What? I also had an injury and my Dr called in a muscle relaxer. I got a message that it was processing at 4 pm. I went in the next day around noon and it still hadn’t been processed. I had to wait for them to fill it. The staff have been nice, but come on! People need their prescriptions on time!

Switched to these folks from CVS......wow...like going from the crazy animals in the zoo to the local friendly pub with little to no wait times and attentive staff at your service.
Downgrade from 5 stars to a one star review : Beware : pharmacy manager needs a crash course in customer service training. Was not informed of the very short 14 day shelf life of a medication that I had just paid well over $100 dollars for and when I expressed concerns was given a " smoke screen " of diffusion with prefaces of " most customers " blah blah blah and either outright lies or her total ignorance regarding the product label = she told me the 14 day shelf life was indicated on the box. Of course I pointed out to her that the box was not shown to me before purchase so this was not a resolution. I get home and open the box and there in print - not once, but three times was labeling the medication life was 9 months from point of purchase .... nothing indicating 14 day shelf life from processing. In addition she tried to push off the blame to my doctor who wrote the prescription saying he should have informed me. REALLY ? My wife recently retired from Sentara after a multi-decade career and when informed of that tidbit busted out in a grimace and then a laugh. "That's the pharmacists responsibility NOT the doctor's". The manager showed lack of concern for her customer ... avoided eye contact when talking to her : rather she buried her head in her computer. Sad because we love this store and do our weekly grocery shopping here and I have used this pharmacy exclusively for the last many years.
FIVE STARS for the store management who lent a kind ear and compensated me with a store gift card for the amount of purchase. Unfortunately wife and I will be exploring other pharmacy options.
