  Super disappointed in Home Instead's inability to provide reliable care in Central Virginia. My father was going to be released from an extended stay in senior care and we made arrangements for in home care. Everything sounded great until the calls began the night before..we don't have anyone, we can't find anyone, and on and on. If you're relying on them to be reliable, think again. We were left in the lurch and had to fly 3K miles to provide the necessary care. Please, please be aware that the sales pitch sounds great and genuine but the reality is much different.

  When my 96 year old mother suddenly became very ill it was imperative that she have round the clock care as soon as possible. The first day I was able to meet Mother's care-giver, Linda, and our contact person, Kim. Both women were compassionate, caring and helpful. After Kim helped me to complete the necessary paperwork, I left Mother in Linda's very capable hands. Linda and Mother hit it off from the start, talking about past events and places they had been. From then on, I could count on Linda to text me with any concerns, to perform needed jobs around the apartment without even being asked, and to always go the extra mile to make my mother comfortable. Many thanks to Home Instead for keeping my mother safe during the Covid-19 crisis.

  I live in Atlanta and my 100 year old mother lives in Charlottesville in her own apartment. Her caregiver got sick overnight and needed to be hospitalized. I was frantic because my mother really needs care. I was able to handle everything over the phone with Home Instead and they did a nursing evaluation the same day and provided service the next. In addition, the caregiver - Adalia -- was gracious and professional. She gave me daily reports and provided me with incredible peace of mind. The two weeks of interim care went flawlessly. I enthusiastically recommend Home Instead and their star caregiver.

  The caregiver that regularly attends my father makes such a difference in his life. He engages Dad in conversation and looks after him like family. His caregiver and the support of other Home Instead staff are enabling my Dad to continue to live in my home and experience a high quality of life.
