I found the pharmacy staff to be helpful but for Mika (sp?) who was sarcastic, unclear and just overall rude.

This pharmacy is perfectly fine, and from these reviews it’s pretty clear folks don’t understand how the system works nowadays. It’s the pharmacist’s job to dispense your meds accurately and safely, and make sure the person prescribing didn’t overlook something harmful. Also to check your meds with insurance coverage. This pharmacy even told me which meds would get better coverage. It is not their job to beg your prescriber for more refills when you are just trying to get out of a visit or phone call :). I was a total pain in the butt one busy day before closing. And they still had patience with me. I feel compelled to defend them…

I've used this Safeway pharmacy for several years. Recently about 20% of my refill requests have gone unfilled (they're not there when I go to pick them up). Safeway claims they didn't get a reply from the Doctor's office, but the Doctor's office says they never got the refill request from Safeway. I asked Safeway Pharmacy to please call the Doctor's office if a refill request isn't answered. The Safeway Pharmacy staff refused. So Safeway doesn't call me if a request is unanswered, and Safeway won't take the initiative to call the Doctor's office if a request is unanswered. I interviewed the pharmacist at the nearby CVS today. She told me that CVS policy is to always call the Doctor's office twice if a request is unanswered, and then to call the customer and let the customer know that there is a problem. CVS's policy sounds much better than Safeway's, so I'm switching all my prescriptions to CVS.
