  Dr. Matthews, (I sent this email this past Monday and still have not gotten a reply) I rate this office now zero after years of being a patient. As a disabled, immunosuppressed patient, with a condition directly impacting my teeth,gums,and ability to eat, also prone to ulcerations on my skin including in my mouth, I decided I did not want to undergo the very painful treatment under my gum line. I simply wanted my normal cleaning as I was supposed to receive in January when I was only given x-rays. Rather than simply being able to keep my appointment for today at 1:30, I was told I needed a Dr. note because I was refusing the treatment and I would have to again be scheduled at a later date. Given my health history I diligently have been coming to cleaning appointments every six months to avoid lapse in service. Yet it seems your staff is operating under a different business model than you are. One which the patient or customer is not allowed to decide for themselves what is best for their bodies. I am very disappointed. After years with you, I have to say goodbye. Because I was not cared for in a way that was fundamentally human, I was told, no, I have to get a treatment I am not personally comfortable with knowing that it will only set my health back further. And like the hygienist said on my way out from my last appointment "Hope you have a high pain tolerance." Well, I do not, nor do I have a tolerance for being treated like I don't have a say in my health care as was my experience today over the phone. Please send me a list of appropriate dentists who can help humanly with a patient with my specific disabilities. A referral will likely be necessary so that I can get my regular cleaning that was due in January.

  This was my first visit to Matthews Dentistry. I came in with a specific problem and I feel like the findings were explained very well and that Dr. Matthews' recommendation was also explained and discussed very well. He we terrific and its obvious he has a great customer service approach because the staff he employs is super attentive and friendly.

  I had a difficulty. I called the office. They scheduled me quickly that day. They were able to quickly solve all my issues. I am exceedingly pleased with the results. I highly recommend Matthew's dentistry.

  I had a great experience with the deep cleaning. I recovered quickly and have no pain or soreness 1 day later. My hygienist Jennie is fabulous and did a super job.

  I have been one of Matthew's patients for several years. He is one of the few dentists who would take my Medicare insurance. I have always been pleased with the service, cleanings, fillings, and crowns. The staff is exceptional!! Yesterday Kaylee took time to describe what she was doing, explain what the issues were with my gums and the treatment they proposed. The office staff is easy to work with and very helpful. I wish ever doctor's office had such cheerful staff! I'm not sure I can say I love going to the dentist, but, if it has to be done, Matthew's Dentistry provides the best most compassionate care.
