Had an amazing experience with Claire! I came in for an intro class and she was super warm and welcoming. She told me all about the different offerings and showed me around the studio. :)

Had a great class with Hemal. She's good about running through things slowly for beginners, offering modifications if needed, and then progressing at a reasonable pace. It was a good first hot yoga experience!

This place smelled of dirty feet and sweaty locker rooms. It had zero ambience and felt like the equivalent of golds gym or planet fitness- a real factory vibe with people piled into the room on top of eachother. The room had this horrific green and blue LED style lighting that made it feel like nightmarish futuristic vibes where brain lobotomy procedures should happen in the twilight zone. Only thing missing was the AI agent powered robot instructor. The smell, cleanliness and energetics of this place could really use some improvement. Nothing relaxing about it. Arlington folks are desperate for yoga because they pack themselves into this icky studio. Not for me.

I haven't yet taken a class at Yoga 6 here in Arlington. My initial comment, though: There are a lot of "bells and whistles" on the website -- far too many. Too many photos, too many offers. Whatever happened to presenting a simple pop-up with "Today's Classes." It's all smiley face happy marketing. Whee!! Real yoga is about far more than that. Some of these "modern" very corporate studios are just far too anxious to recruit you to their studio "experience." Hey, it's just yoga. Being of the old guard, I find it over-the-top and rather off-putting to engage in these marketing theatrics. The vibe is not as down-to-earth and community-oriented as the verbiage suggests. Maybe the actually experience is, but the marketing should exude that vibe. I ain't feeling it. Doesn't mean I wont take a class, but I don't feel invited to do so. Very trendy, but that's part of the problem with today's yoga.
