  I WOULD STRONGLY ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO SEEK A SECOND OPINION AND ASK DETAILED QUESTIONS BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH TREATMENT HERE. I had a very concerning experience during a root canal performed by this endodontist. During the procedure, a file broke inside the canal. While the procedure was still ongoing, I developed sudden and severe swelling on the left side of my face, along with pressure near my eye. At the time, the swelling was not clearly recognized or explained. The doctor said that he did not know why it happened and suggested it could be related to an injection or a possible allergy. When I mentioned the pressure near my eye, I was told nothing was affecting it. I was not provided with immediate supportive care such as an ice pack, nor was I advised to seek urgent evaluation. I was prescribed antibiotics, steroids, and pain medication and told to let the swelling calm down and return in about two weeks to complete the root canal, with no arranged follow-up. Two days later, I was evaluated by another endodontist. After examination and imaging, I was informed that there had been a perforation and a sodium hypochlorite accident during the initial procedure, and that the broken file and these complications made the prognosis of the tooth questionable, with possible need for extraction. I was advised that urgent treatment was required to try to save the tooth. This experience was frightening and left me feeling inadequately informed and unsupported during a serious complication.

  I highly recommend Dr. Kotler, he was very professional and would explain every step during my root canal procedure. I found him to be very honest, explaining my tooth situation. I also found the staff to be very polite, professional and caring. His assistant, Haniyeh, was very caring and sweet. I was really stressed out, but she calmed me down, and I felt very comfortable and relaxed while I was sitting in the dental chair.

  ATTENTION READ ALL PATIENTS REVIEWS BEFORE YOU MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT ********* My husband needed a root canal and this dentist seems to have a dismissive attitude towards people of color and then he went to do a root canal on a inflamed/infected tooth pls my colored people find another specialist

  Dr. Kotler is the best. No pain. Great job. Efficient staff. In and out easy does it. Two thumbs up.
